Hemei Mountain Trail Introduction
The Hemei Mountain on the west bank of Bitan offers close-up views of the east bank of Bitan and the Bitan Suspension Bridge, while providing distant views of Nangang Mountain and Taipei 101. Looking back, one can see the green pool along the Beiyi Road and the Xinxu Road in the Wantan area. With its complete mountain forest and rich ecology, it attracts insects, animals, and birds, forming a natural ecological paradise for visitors to hike and observe nature. The Hemei Mountain Nature Trail is a hiking path suitable for all ages, offering a short and gentle route, divided into a blue line trail that is close to water and a green line trail that is close to the mountains. The trail is rich in ecology, featuring nearly 200 species of native butterfly-attracting plants. The first section is a flat slope, and visitors can choose to continue straight or climb stairs to the top of Hemei Mountain. The summit offers excellent views of the entire Taipei Basin, with Taipei 101 clearly visible. There are benches along the trail for resting, and portable toilets are available at designated spots, making it an easy hiking trail friendly for families and wheelchair users alike.
