Hemei Mountain Trail Introduction
He Mei Mountain, located on the west bank of Bitan, offers a view of the east bank of Bitan and the Bitan Suspension Bridge up close, while the majestic Nankang Mountain and Taipei 101 can be seen in the distance. Turning back, one can gaze upon the Qingtan area on Beiyi Road in Xindian, as well as the Xinwu Road and Wantan region. The complete forest landscape and rich ecology attract various insects, animals, and birds, forming a natural ecological paradise for visitors to hike and observe wildlife. The He Mei Mountain Nature Trail is a hiking path suitable for people of all ages; not only is the distance short, but the trail is also quite gentle, divided into the water-friendly blue line trail and the mountain-friendly green line trail. The trail is rich in ecology, featuring nearly 200 species of native butterfly-attracting plants. The beginning of the trail is a flat slope, after which visitors can choose to continue straight or climb stairs to reach the summit of He Mei Mountain. The view from the top is stunning, offering a panoramic perspective of the entire Taipei Basin, including a clear view of Taipei 101. Along the trail, there are benches for resting, and portable toilets are available at designated points, making it a family-friendly and accessible trail for wheelchair users.
