He Mei Mountain Hiking Trail Introduction
Hemei Mountain on the west bank of Bitan offers close views of Bitan's east bank and Bitan Suspension Bridge, with distant views of Nangkang Mountain and Taipei 101. Turning back, one can see the Qingtan area on Beiyi Road and the New Wu Road and Wantan area. The complete forest and rich ecology attract insects, animals, and birds, forming a natural ecological paradise for visitors to hike and observe nature. The Hemei Mountain Nature Trail is a hiking path suitable for all ages, with a short and gentle route, divided into a blue trail close to the water and a green trail close to the mountain. The trail is rich in ecology, featuring nearly 200 species of native butterfly-hosting plants, with the first part being a flat slope. Visitors can choose to continue straight or climb stairs to reach the summit of Hemei Mountain. The view at the top is excellent, providing a panoramic view of the Taipei Basin, including a clear view of Taipei 101. Along the trail, there are benches for resting, and mobile toilets are available at designated points, making it a family-friendly and wheelchair-accessible hiking path.
