Little Chichibu Introduction
On the west bank of the Xindian River, towering rocks are exposed after being eroded by the stream, creating steep cliffs that stretch endlessly. Due to its resemblance to the Red Cliffs of the Yangtze River in mainland China, and because literati have likened this place to Su Shi's "Red Cliff Ode," the local residents refer to it as "Little Red Cliffs." Xindian, famous for its beautiful mountains and rivers, offers well-connected trails for mountain and water enjoyment. Whether it's the He-Mei Mountain Trail beside the suspension bridge or the Shih-Tou Mountain Trail near the metro station, both are suitable for family outings. For those who want to explore further, bicycles can be rented to travel along the well-planned riverside bike paths, taking in the scenic views of the Xindian River. Hiking enthusiasts can take a bus or the free sightseeing bus to challenge multiple hiking trails in Xindian, including the Yinhe Cave Trail, Shizitou Mountain Path, Erbazi Botanical Garden, Shuangcheng Trail, and Guangxing Wetland Ecological Trail, enjoying the rare phytoncides in the city and breathing in the refreshing forest air.
