New Taipei City: Wang Ding Time & Space Experience Hall Introduction
【Evaluation Validity Period: 2025/10/20~2028/10/19】 Wang Ding, leveraging its in-house technology, actively transformed and established its own brand ATOP WorldTime, which has won multiple prestigious international design awards. The company also established a time-themed Science and Art Experience Hall to convey the history and evolution of timekeeping devices. The hall showcases the patented WorldTime technology, offers tours of the watchmaking process, and provides hands-on assembly experiences, making it a palace that integrates knowledge about time, science, and art. In 1984, Wang Ding Precision set up a factory in Tucheng, initially focusing on the design and manufacture of precision metal components and molds for plastic injection. The business expanded to produce precision parts for electronics, computers, medical devices, instrument components, and precise gears for watches. Wang Ding upgraded and transformed to develop quartz timepiece movements, successfully achieving consistent and modular mass production, with a monthly output of millions of movement modules. In addition to domestic sales, these products are also widely exported to China, Hong Kong, India, and Southeast Asia, contributing to Taiwan's status as a kingdom of quartz watches, with products receiving multiple international design awards. In 2012, after gaining recognition for its products, the company reconsidered its brand image and value enhancement, leading to the transformation into a tourist factory and the establishment of the time-themed Science and Art Experience Hall.
