Tucheng District Indigenous People's Ecological Park Introduction
Located on Yongning Road in Tucheng District, there is a hidden gem called the Indigenous People's Ecological Park. It was formerly the site of the Haishan Coal Mine, which had rich mineral resources in the 1970s, with many Indigenous people being the main workforce in mining at that time. They left their homes to work hard in Tucheng, leaving behind many stories of Indigenous miners. In 1993, the area was designated as Indigenous reservation land, and later in 2005, it was developed into an ecological park. The park features scenic walkways, ecological pools, Indigenous wooden pavilions, ancestral spirit houses, and other facilities that embody Indigenous culture and natural ecology. The park is themed around Indigenous peoples and natural ecosystems, boasting diverse spaces related to Indigenous cultures, with a focus on preserving the natural landscape. Amenities include resting areas, ecological pools, scenic walkways, and Indigenous wooden pavilions.
