Tucheng District Indigenous Peoples Ecological Park Introduction
Located on Yongning Road in Tucheng District, there is a hidden gem called the Indigenous People's Ecological Park. It was formerly the site of the Hsienshan Coal Mine, which had rich mineral resources in the 1970s, and many indigenous people were the primary labor force in mining at that time. They left their hometowns to work hard in Tucheng, which has resulted in many stories of indigenous miners in the area. In 1993, it was designated as an indigenous reservation, and later in 2005, it was transformed into an ecological park. The park features scenic walking paths, ecological ponds, and indigenous wooden pavilions, as well as facilities that reflect indigenous culture, such as ancestral spirit houses. The park is themed around indigenous culture and natural ecology, with diverse spaces created around indigenous themes. The environmental planning focuses on natural ecology, preserving the natural landscape, and providing rest areas, ecological ponds, scenic pathways, and indigenous wooden pavilions.
