Yuanhai Puzai Police Station Introduction
The police station is constructed of reinforced concrete, featuring a Western-style wooden roof, and is currently used as a dormitory and storage room. Next to the police station, there is a watchtower, which is a rare building that is not often seen elsewhere. The establishment of the watchtower allows one to witness the changes in the coastline of the Lugang and Changbin area. The outer wall of the watchtower is built using the pebble-washing technique, an architectural method introduced by the Japanese during the colonial period, capable of withstanding wind and sun. Additionally, the air-raid shelter in the garden has been preserved since World War II, holding significant historical importance. Source: Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
