Yuanhai Puzuo Police Station Introduction
The police station is constructed of reinforced concrete, with a Western-style wooden truss roof. It is currently used as dormitory and storage space. Next to the police station is an observation deck, which is a rare architectural feature not easily found elsewhere. The observation deck allows for witnessing the changes in the coastline of Lugang and Changbin areas. The outer walls of the observation deck are made using washed stone techniques, a building method introduced by the Japanese during the colonial period from the West, capable of withstanding wind and sun exposure. Furthermore, the air raid shelter in the garden has been preserved since World War II to the present day, also carrying significant historical importance.
