Yuanhai Puzhuang Police Station Introduction
The police station is constructed of reinforced concrete, with a roof featuring a Western-style wooden framework. It is currently used as a dormitory and storage room. Adjacent to the police station is an observation platform, which is a rare type of building not easily found elsewhere. The establishment of the observation platform allows for witnessing the changes along the coast of Lugang and Changbin. The exterior walls of the observation platform are built using a stone washing technique, a construction method introduced by the Japanese from the West during the colonial era, designed to withstand wind and sunlight. Additionally, the air raid shelter in the garden has been preserved since World War II, holding significant historical importance. Source: Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
