Yuanhai Puzi Police Station Introduction
The police station is constructed of reinforced concrete, with a Western-style wooden truss roof. It is currently used as a dormitory and storage room. Next to the police station, there is an observation platform, which is a rare type of building not commonly seen elsewhere. The establishment of the observation platform allows witnesses to the changes in the coastline of Lukang and Zhangbin area. The outer wall of the observation platform is built using a pebble-washing technique, an architectural skill introduced by the Japanese from the West during the Japanese colonial period, capable of withstanding wind and sun exposure. The air-raid shelter in the garden has been preserved since World War II, holding significant historical value. Source: Cultural Affairs Bureau of Changhua County.
