Yuanhai Puzhuang Police Office Introduction
The police station is constructed of reinforced concrete with a Western-style wooden roof, currently used as a dormitory and storage room. Adjacent to the police station is an observation deck, a rare type of architecture not commonly seen elsewhere. The observation deck allows for the witnessing of changes along the coastline of Lukang and Changbin. The outer wall of the observation deck is built using a pebble-wash technique, a building technology introduced by the Japanese during the colonial era from the West, making it resistant to wind and sunlight. Additionally, the air raid shelter in the garden has been preserved since World War II, also holding significant historical importance. Source: Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
