Zhongyi Temple Introduction
The Zhongyi Temple in Lugang Beitou, which was brought from Quanzhou, China, began its worship in the 55th year of the Qianlong reign (1790). Initially, it was honored by a system where different households took turns as the temple's furnace masters, and later a temple was built for worship in the 3rd year of the Daoguang reign (1823). The temple's exterior is magnificent, with marble walls inscribed with poems from famous local calligraphers and poets of Lugang, along with intricately crafted wooden altars and a plaque that reads "Yiyong Jingzhong." The overall decoration of the temple features many vibrant colors, making it quite splendid.
