Taiwan Craft Home - Qiaoxin 3D Embroidery Introduction
Craftsman: Hsu Chen-Chun "Embroidery" is a delicate craft deeply infused with Eastern cultural essence. In traditional Chinese culture, embroidery is regarded as an essential womanly skill. Teacher Hsu Chen-Chun has been creating for over sixty years, having learned many traditional crafts under the guidance of his father since childhood. His fascination with embroidery led him to master skills such as flower embroidery, the three-inch golden lotus, and winding spring flowers, and he independently developed the technique of "three-dimensional embroidery," transforming traditional flat embroidery into lively and dynamic three-dimensional art. This technique has evolved into a new form of handcrafted teaching and fine industry. Whether featuring traditional flat embroidery that he excelled in from a young age or his original three-dimensional embroidery, his work is unique and creative, earning him the title of "The Best Embroiderer in Lugang." Here, visitors can see ancient beauty garments such as the "bellyband" once worn by women in ancient times that astonished many at national folk talent events, the lifelike sleep aid "tiger pillow," and various "fragrant pouches" worn during the Dragon Boat Festival, all rich in nostalgic charm and modernity, making it well worth a visit. Award history includes receiving certification from "Taiwan Craft Home" in 2006, registration as a traditional craft - three-dimensional embroidery preserver in Changhua County in 2013, holding the "Embroidery and Winding Art - Hsu Chen-Chun Three-Dimensional Embroidery Creation Exhibition" at the National Changhua Living Art Museum in 2017, and participating in the "Changhua County Artists Relay Exhibition" organized by the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau in 2018.
