Craftsman: Hsu Chen-Chun "Embroidery" is a delicate craft rich in Eastern cultural atmosphere, and in traditional Chinese culture, embroidery is regarded as an essential skill for women. Master Hsu Chen-Chun has over sixty years of creative experience. From a young age, he learned many traditional crafts under his father's guidance. Fascinated by embroidery, he mastered various techniques such as flower embroidery, the art of three-inch golden lotus (a form of traditional foot binding), and intertwining spring flowers. He also self-taught the development of the "three-dimensional embroidery" technique, transforming traditional flat embroidery into vibrant, lifelike "three-dimensional embroidery," which has led to emerging handmade craft teachings and refined industries. Whether through his early expertise in flat embroidery or his self-created three-dimensional embroidery, his work is distinctive and full of creativity, earning him the title of "the first embroiderer of Lugang."
