Qingshuiyan Trail Cluster - Shiba Wan Ancient Trail, Central Ridge Afforestation Trail, Park Connecting Trail Introduction
The Qingshui Rock Trail System, which includes the 18 Bends Ancient Path (0.8K) and the Central Ridge Afforestation Trail and Park Connection Trail (3.0K), forms a loop-shaped path located behind Qingshui Rock Temple. The starting point is near the activity and performance square of Qingshui Rock Park, where many people engage in hiking activities. The 18 Bends Ancient Path was historically a transportation route between the Shetou and Tianzhong areas of Changhua and Mingjian in Nantou, also known as the Salt Carrying Ancient Path. The trail surface is made of earth and stone or wooden steps to recreate historical scenes, and the flowering plants along the path often attract insects and birds. In the 1940s, a private afforestation incentive program led to the planting of acacia trees along the Central Ridge Afforestation Trail. The entire trail is a winding woodland path, connected to the park connection trails at the first, second, and third peak platforms, with the end of the trail leading to the challenging steep stairs at Qingtian Gang. Trail length: 3.9 kilometers. Walking time: 2 hours. Facilities include: parking (for motorcycles, cars, and buses), signposts, Qingshui Rock performance square, observation platforms, an afforestation monument, pavilions, fitness equipment, mobile toilets, and milestone markers.
