Shanhu Trail Introduction
This trail connects Shetou Township in Changhua County with Nantou City and can be accessed from either the Changhua or Nantou end. The trail is approximately 1.8 kilometers long and consists of a natural earthen path. A resting pavilion is situated near the midpoint of the trail. In spring, the trail is marked by the presence of purple butterflies, and the plant scenery is rich and diverse. The eastern section of the trail features more tree cover, where visitors can enjoy secondary forest species such as acacia, bamboo, bloodwood, wax myrtle, and crape myrtle. The western section is mainly dominated by fruit tree landscapes. Encounters with fellow hikers are relatively infrequent, allowing one to listen to the sounds of nature in tranquility, making it suitable for those who enjoy being close to nature and prefer mountain climbing experiences. Trail length: 1.85 kilometers. Walking time: 1 hour. Facilities: informational signs, directional signs, resting pavilion.
