Shanhu Trail Introduction
The trail connects Shetou Township in Changhua County and Nantou City, and it can be started from either end, with a total length of approximately 1.8 kilometers. The entire trail consists of natural earth and stone paths, and there is a resting pavilion located near the midpoint. In the spring, the trail is home to sightings of the Purple Sovereign butterfly, and the plant landscape is quite rich and diverse. The eastern section of the trail is more shaded, where you can admire secondary forests with Acacia, bamboo, Blood Flower, Banana Plant, and Plumeria. The western section primarily features fruit trees. The frequency of encountering fellow hikers is low, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the sounds of nature in peace, suitable for those who love to be close to nature and prefer a hiking experience. Trail length: 1.85 kilometers. Walking time: 1 hour. Facilities: Directional signs, information boards, resting pavilion.
The Sanxia River and the Industrial Road are adjacent, serving as an ecological engineering demonstration area.
