Shanhu Trail Introduction
The trail connecting Shetou Township in Changhua County and Nantou City is accessible from either end, with a total length of approximately 1.8 kilometers. The entire trail is composed of natural earth and stone paths, with a resting pavilion located at the midpoint. During spring, sightings of the purple butterfly can be observed, and the plant landscape is quite rich and diverse. The eastern section of the trail features more shade from trees, allowing visitors to appreciate the secondary forest with Acacia, bamboo, bloodwood, pandanus, and dragon boat flowers; while the western section is dominated by fruit tree scenery. Encounters with fellow hikers are relatively low, making it a serene place to listen to the sounds of nature, suitable for those who enjoy nature and prefer mountain climbing experiences.
