Shanhu Trail Introduction
The trail connects Shetou Township in Changhua County with Nantou City, starting from either the Changhua or Nantou end. The trail is approximately 1.8 kilometers long and comprises a natural dirt and stone path. There is a resting pavilion located near the midpoint of the trail. In the spring, you can see trace of Violet Butterfly, and the plant landscape is rich and diverse. The eastern section of the trail is more shaded, allowing you to enjoy secondary forest species such as Acacia, Bamboo, Bloodwood, Shell Ginger, and Ixora; the western section is primarily characterized by fruit trees. The frequency of encountering fellow hikers is low, allowing for a peaceful experience to listen to the sounds of nature, making it suitable for those who enjoy being close to nature and prefer mountain climbing experiences. Trail length: 1.85 kilometers. Walking time: 1 hour. Facilities: information boards, directional signs, resting pavilion.
