Shanhu Trail Introduction
The trail connects Shetou Township in Changhua County with Nantou City. It can be accessed from either the Changhua or Nantou end and has a total length of approximately 1.8 kilometers. The path is a natural dirt and stone road, with a resting pavilion located around the midpoint. In spring, the trail is home to sightings of purple butterflies, and the plant landscape is quite rich and diverse. The eastern section of the trail has more shaded areas, allowing visitors to enjoy secondary forests featuring Acacia trees, Moso bamboo, bloodwood trees, shell ginger, and Ixora flowers. The western section is primarily focused on fruit tree scenery. Encounters with fellow hikers are relatively infrequent, providing a tranquil environment to listen to the sounds of nature, making it suitable for those who enjoy close contact with nature and prefer hiking experiences. Trail length: 1.85 kilometers. Walking time: 1 hour. Facilities: Information signs, directional signs, resting pavilion.
