Jia Ping Tribe Introduction
The old site of the Jiaping village in Taiwu Township is located deep in the mountains at the foot of Mount Nandawu. It was relocated four kilometers from its original site in 1945 and moved to its current location in 1953. Previously known as "Kaviyangan," it was renamed "Jiaping Village" after the Kuomintang government came to Taiwan. The villagers are conservative, primarily engaged in agriculture, making it a simple and unpretentious Paiwan tribe village.
