Taiwan Sugar Chihshang Resort Introduction
Taiwan Sugar's Muyu Resort was originally the Taiwan Sugar Chihshang Syrup Factory, located in the fresh air of the Hualien-Taitung Valley, adjacent to the clear Beinan River, and within walking distance to the famous Chihshang Xinkaiyuan Laotian Cultural Area. To protect the natural ecology, the resort adheres to a low development principle, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural landscape of Chihshang and enjoy a tranquil and leisurely vacation. The resort is well-equipped with a range of amenities, including exquisite guest rooms, the preservation of the former Taiwan Sugar steam locomotive, a unique Mongolian artifact area, and a vast square featuring exotic scenery, allowing visitors to experience the prairie landscapes found in films without needing to travel abroad. The resort also plans to establish a large pasture farm where guests can rent bicycles to explore various parts of the farm. Visitors can gaze upon the lush and majestic Central Mountain Range, enjoy watching herds of cattle and sheep grazing on the grasslands, and observe various birds such as the neck-collared pheasant and white heron at dawn and dusk. The resort has collaborated with the Taipei City Zoo to provide shelter for animals such as pygmy hippos, Mongolian wild horses, and elands from the zoo, thus becoming a conservation base for large herbivores. Guests at the resort can not only relax but also observe various animals up close in nature, enjoying the slow-paced lifestyle of Chihshang.
