Taitung Farm Introduction
The Taitung Farm, operated by the Veterans Affairs Council of the Executive Yuan, has convenient transportation and a straightforward location. The signage for the farm is located on both sides of the provincial road, featuring a lighthouse style on one side and an archway style on the other, clearly marking the target with innovative design. The outer walls on both sides of the farm's entrance are made of mortar-cast pebbles with a base of small pebbles, featuring black, white, and dark red pebbles, all set in white cement. The pebble base is adorned with stone lions, totaling 100 on both sides, making it quite eye-catching and impressive. The Taitung area spans a vast 15,637 hectares, with an additional seedling area of over 3 hectares. The layout is centered around an office building, with employee dining areas, dormitories, production facilities, raw material storage, recreational areas, and garages distributed on either side. The area that was originally a fish pond has been converted into a tennis court. The plaza features a full-body bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek, and the open spaces within the area are meticulously designed, including a self-strengthening garden, specimen garden, fountain, and flower gardens, surrounded by evergreens and vibrant flowers in full bloom, earning the environment the nickname "Chihshang Park." Additionally, the farm history museum displays a rich collection of ancient farming tools, while the green spaces showcase the evolution of modern agricultural machinery, providing significant educational and observational value.
