Rice Cultural Museum Introduction
The Rice Cultural Museum is located on the east side of the road in the Xin-Kai-Yuan Lao-Tian area of Chishang, Taitung. The original building was an idle warehouse in the Wan'an community, and through the collective efforts of community residents, it has become an important base for promoting Chishang's rice culture. It offers rich community tours, DIY experiences, and travel services, such as oven baking, rice food DIY, and farmhouse experience tours, along with bicycles available for rent by visitors. In addition to showcasing rural life, it also sells various agricultural products, including Wan'an rice, rice noodles, and peeled chili peppers. The second floor serves as a dining area, where visitors can enjoy Hakka specialty dishes and beverages. This place covers all the unique activities in Chishang. The highlight dish on the menu is the rural lunch served in a large bowl, filled with steaming, fragrant rice, paired with authentic Hakka salted pork and delicious pickled side dishes, wrapped in vibrant Hakka floral cloth, offering a unique and charming Hakka atmosphere. Specials like rice pearl milk tea, rice pudding, and rice cake are delightful desserts and beverages rich in Chishang characteristics that adventurous visitors shouldn't miss. If you're still hungry after your meal, the first floor features a variety of agricultural products, with selected items for visitors to pack and take home.
