Driven by the belief of "Taking from Nature, Using for Nature, Returning to Nature," Chen Chiu-Chu, a soap-making expert who has settled in Chihshang for twenty years, started focusing on ecological and environmental issues by considering the recycling and reuse of waste oil from school lunches. "To make the community I live in more eco-friendly, healthier, and suitable for the next generation," she immersed herself in the creation of handmade soaps. Chiu-Chu has invested significant effort and resources in self-study, transforming waste into amazing eco-friendly soaps, as well as laundry powders and other daily cleaning products. While crafting handmade soaps, she contemplates how to connect and develop local characteristics, blending the abundant natural resources and various essences from the Huadong Valley into her simple-colored soaps. She tailors soap and shower gel formulas to cater to different skin types and conducts creative parent-child friendly workshops on artistic glass soaps, skincare products, DIY, and soap-making training. In addition to handmade soap products suitable for bathing and facial cleaning, she offers a unique "String Soap" experience that allows customers to unleash their creativity and enjoy the fun of hands-on crafting.
