Chulu Ranch Introduction

Chulu Ranch is the largest hillside ranch in Taiwan, where herds of dairy cows leisurely stroll across the lush green pastures. The white fences and red houses set against the blue sky and soft white clouds create a picturesque European estate that captivates visitors. In addition to dairy cows, Chulu Ranch also introduces various animals such as pet horses, four-horned sheep, rabbits, and peacocks, allowing travelers to get up close and personal with more animals. Visitors can hand-feed the dairy cows with fresh pasture and enjoy the fun of DIY hands-on experiences. Chulu Ranch produces a variety of rich dairy products from its fresh milk, including milk ice cream, milk buns, cheese, and crispy cookies, making it one of the best souvenirs in Taitung. Established in 1973, Chulu Ranch is the oldest large-scale tourist ranch in the Taitung area, covering an area of 67 hectares, situated on a high terrace at an elevation of 200 to 390 meters. It is surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, offering a vast view that refreshes the body and mind, and has developed unique hillside ranch activities such as grass skiing, which is popular among children. In this natural treasure, the rich and diverse vegetation and ecosystems intertwine, making visitors feel as if they have stepped into a paradise of nature. Walking on the vibrant green lawn and strolling along the tranquil shaded paths feels like being embraced by nature. When the gentle breeze blows, the magnificent scenery of the mountains and ocean intertwines, further enchanting visitors.
