Chulu Ranch Introduction
Chulu Ranch is the largest hilly ranch in Taiwan, where herds of dairy cows leisurely roam across lush pastures. The white fences and vermilion buildings, set against the blue sky and soft white clouds, create a picturesque scene reminiscent of a European estate, enchanting visitors. In addition to dairy cows, Chulu Ranch has introduced various animals such as pet horses, four-horned sheep, rabbits, and peacocks, allowing travelers to interact closely with the animals. Visitors can feed the dairy cows with fresh grass and also enjoy DIY craft experiences. Chulu Ranch produces a variety of rich dairy products from fresh milk, including fresh milk ice cream, milk buns, cheese, and crispy cookies, making it one of the best souvenirs from Taitung. Established in 1973, Chulu Ranch is the oldest large-scale tourist ranch in the Taitung area, covering an area of 67 hectares, situated on a plateau at an altitude of 200 to 390 meters, surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range. The expansive scenery is refreshing, and it also offers unique grass sliding activities that are especially popular with children. In this natural treasure, the rich and diverse vegetation and ecosystems coexist, giving visitors the feeling of stepping into a natural paradise. Walking on the emerald green lawns and leisurely strolling through the quiet shady paths feels like being embraced by nature. As the gentle breeze blows, the breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean further immerse visitors in the charm of this place.
