Chulu Ranch Introduction
Chulu Ranch is the largest hilly pasture in Taiwan, where herds of dairy cows leisurely stroll across the lush grasslands. The white fences and deep red buildings, set against a blue sky and soft white clouds, resemble a picturesque European manor, enchanting visitors. In addition to dairy cows, Chulu Ranch has introduced pet horses, four-horned sheep, rabbits, and peacocks, allowing travelers to have close encounters with more animals. Visitors can even feed the dairy cows with fresh pasture and enjoy DIY crafting experiences. Chulu Ranch produces a variety of rich dairy products from fresh milk, including fresh milk ice cream, milk buns, cheese, and crispy cookies, making it one of the best souvenirs in Taitung. Established in 1973, Chulu Ranch is the oldest large-scale tourist ranch in the Taitung area, covering an area of 67 hectares, situated on high plateaus at an elevation of 200 to 390 meters, surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range. The expansive views are refreshing for the body and mind, and the ranch also offers unique grass sliding activities loved by children. In this natural treasure, diverse vegetation and ecosystems coexist, making visitors feel as if they have stepped into a natural paradise. Strolling on the verdant lawns and walking along peaceful shaded paths makes it feel like entering the embrace of nature. As the gentle breeze blows, the magnificent scenery of the mountains and ocean captivates even more.
