Chulu Ranch Introduction
Chulu Ranch is the largest hilly ranch in Taiwan, where herds of dairy cows leisurely stroll across lush meadows. With its white fences and crimson buildings, set against a backdrop of blue skies and soft white clouds, it resembles a picturesque European estate, captivating visitors. In addition to dairy cows, Chulu Ranch has introduced animals such as pet horses, sheep, rabbits, and peacocks, allowing travelers to have close encounters with more animals. Visitors can even feed the dairy cows fresh grass by hand and enjoy various DIY activities. Chulu Ranch produces a wide range of rich dairy products from fresh milk, including milk ice cream, milk buns, cheeses, and crispy cookies, making it one of the best souvenirs from Taitung. Established in 1973, Chulu Ranch is the oldest large-scale tourist ranch in the Taitung area, covering an area of 67 hectares and located on a plateau at an elevation of 200 to 390 meters, surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range. The vast scenery provides a refreshing experience, and the ranch has developed unique activities like grass sliding, which is highly popular among children. Strolling on the lush green lawns and walking along tranquil shaded pathways feels like being embraced by nature.
