Chulu Organic Coffee Farm Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" has been selected as one of the Top Ten Travel Souvenirs and Specialty Foods in Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yi-Hsiung has been growing plums, guavas, and cherimoyas on this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years. At the age of 64, after a friend offered him a cup of coffee that had a bitter taste, he, who always drank tea, thought to himself that this was asking for trouble. Why do so many people around the world love bitter coffee? This sparked his curiosity to research, leading him to decide to dedicate himself to coffee cultivation on more than six hectares of orchard, marking the beginning of the "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Garden." In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Garden participated in the evaluation of "Taitung Specialty Coffee Beans" and received the honor of premium commercial grade. Having never drunk coffee before, he has now plunged headfirst into the world of coffee. Huang Yi-Hsiung hopes that organic coffee farmers in Taitung will work together to market high-quality coffee overseas, allowing Taitung coffee to spread its aroma worldwide.
