Chulu Organic Coffee Farm Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" in the restaurant was selected as one of the Top Ten Travel Souvenirs and Specialty Foods in Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yihsiung has been cultivating various fruits such as plums, guavas, and custard apples in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years. At the age of sixty-four, after a friend offered him a cup of coffee which had a bitter taste, he wondered why so many people enjoyed drinking coffee despite its bitterness, as he was accustomed to tea. This sparked his curiosity to delve into coffee research. Thus, he decided to dedicate himself to coffee cultivation on a six-hectare orchard, marking the beginning of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Farm." In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Farm participated in the evaluation of "Taitung Specialty Coffee Beans" and received high-level commercial honors. Having never consumed coffee before, Huang Yihsiung has now fully immersed himself in the coffee world. He hopes that the organic coffee farmers in Taitung will work together to market high-quality coffee overseas, allowing Taitung coffee to spread its aroma worldwide.
