Chulu Organic Coffee Garden Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" in the store was selected as one of the Top Ten Travel Souvenirs and Featured Delicacies of Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yi-hsiung has been growing organic coffee using natural farming methods on this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years, starting from planting plums, guavas, and cherimoyas. At the age of sixty-four, one day a friend offered him coffee, and its bitter taste made him wonder why so many people love to drink something that he thought was苦苦？ This sparked his curiosity to explore coffee further, leading to the establishment of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Garden" on a six-hectare orchard dedicated to coffee cultivation. In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Garden participated in the "Taitung Specialty Coffee Bean" evaluation and received the honor of high commercial grade. Having never consumed coffee before, Huang Yi-hsiung has now immersed himself in the coffee world and hopes that organic coffee farmers in Taitung will work together to market high-quality coffee overseas, allowing Taitung coffee to be fragrant around the world.
