Chulu Organic Coffee Farm Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" in the store was selected as one of the Top Ten Souvenirs and Specialty Foods in Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yi-hsiung has been growing plums, guavas, and custard apples, among others, in this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years, eventually transitioning to organic coffee cultivation using natural farming methods. At the age of sixty-four, one day a friend invited him to drink coffee, and the bitter taste made him, who usually drinks tea, feel like it was a form of self-torture. He wondered why so many people worldwide love the bitterness of coffee, igniting his curiosity to research it. Thus, he decided to cultivate coffee on his six-chia orchard, marking the beginning of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Garden." In 2009, the CLC Organic Coffee Garden participated in the evaluation of "Taitung Specialty Coffee Beans" and received a prestigious business-grade award. Once someone who never drank coffee, Huang Yi-hsiung is now deeply immersed in the coffee world. He hopes that organic coffee farmers in Taitung will work together to market quality coffee overseas, allowing Taitung coffee to spread its aroma around the world.
