Chulu Organic Coffee Farm Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" was selected as one of the top ten travel souvenirs and specialty foods in Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yi-xiong has been cultivating this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years, starting from growing plums, guavas, and sugar apples, and eventually shifting to natural farming methods for organic coffee. At sixty-four, after a friend offered him coffee with a bitter taste—something that made him, a lifelong tea drinker, wonder why so many people enjoy coffee despite its bitterness—he became curious and decided to dedicate himself to coffee cultivation in a six-hectare orchard, marking the beginning of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Farm." In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Farm participated in the "Taitung Specialty Coffee Bean" evaluation and received a high-grade commercial award. Having never drunk coffee before, Huang Yi-xiong has now fully immersed himself in the world of coffee, hoping that organic coffee farmers in Taitung will work together to market high-quality coffee overseas, allowing Taitung's coffee to spread its fragrance across the world.
