Chulu Organic Coffee Farm Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" in the store was selected as one of the Top Ten Travel Souvenirs and Specialty Foods in Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yihsiung has devoted over forty years to this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County, cultivating plums, guavas, and cherimoyas, before finally turning to organic coffee through natural farming methods. At the age of sixty-four, after being invited by a friend to drink coffee with a bitter taste, he, who traditionally preferred tea, pondered why so many people enjoy bitter coffee, which sparked his curiosity to research. This led to the establishment of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Plantation," which occupies over six hectares of orchard dedicated to coffee cultivation. In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Plantation participated in the evaluation of "Taitung Specialty Coffee Beans" and received the honor of being recognized as high-quality commercial grade. Once a non-coffee drinker, now deeply immersed in the coffee world, Huang Yihsiung hopes that organic coffee farmers in Taitung can work together to market high-quality coffee abroad, letting Taitung coffee fragrance spread across the world.
