Chulu Organic Coffee Farm Introduction
The signature "Organic Coffee" in the shop was selected as one of the Top Ten Travel Souvenirs and Specialty Foods in Taitung County in 2012. Huang Yihsiung has been engaged in natural farming practices for organic coffee on this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years, starting from planting plums, guavas, and cherimoyas. At the age of sixty-four, one day a friend offered him a cup of coffee. The bitter taste made him, who usually drank tea, wonder why so many people loved coffee despite its bitterness; this sparked his curiosity for research. Thus, he decided to dedicate himself to coffee cultivation on the six-hectare orchard, marking the beginning of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Farm." In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Farm participated in the evaluation of "Taitung Specialty Coffee Beans" and received the honor of high commercial grade. Having never drunk coffee before, Huang Yihsiung is now deeply immersed in the coffee world. He hopes that organic coffee farmers in Taitung will work together to market high-quality coffee overseas, allowing Taitung coffee's aroma to reach the world.
