Luye High Land Introduction

Luye Highland offers an excellent view, allowing visitors to take in the scenery of the entire highland area and the fields at the bottom of Beinan River Valley. It is also a great natural venue for aerial activities in eastern Taiwan. From June to August, it is the perfect time for hot air balloon activities at Luye Highland. Visitors can take a gentle rise up into the air in a hot air balloon and enjoy the beauty of the Hualien-Taitung Valley while experiencing the excitement of the lift-off. Following the signs from Longtian Village toward the highland, the terrain gradually elevates, and not far after passing the Luye Highland Tea Exhibition Center, a vast expanse of lush green grasslands comes into view. Climbing up to the highest point on the grassy slope, the entire highland area and the valley are visible in all their glory. During the summer vacation period, the grand Taiwan International Balloon Festival and the Light Sculpture Music Festival attract travelers from around the world. Activities such as tethered hot air balloon experiences, free flight hot air balloon performances, and stunning light sculpture music shows, including the Dawn Light Sculpture Music Festival, provide unforgettable experiences.
