Luye Highland Introduction
Luye Plateau offers an exceptional view, allowing visitors to take in the landscapes of the entire plateau area and the fields at the bottom of the Beinan River Valley. It is also an excellent venue for natural air activities in eastern Taiwan. The best time for hot air balloon activities at Luye Plateau is from June to August. Visitors can ride gently ascending hot air balloons and immerse themselves in the beautiful scenery of the Hualien-Taitung Valley, experiencing the thrill of balloon flight firsthand. From Longtian Village, follow the signs up to the plateau, where the terrain gradually rises. After passing the Luye Plateau Tea Center, a wide expanse of lush green grassland comes into view. Climbing to the highest point on this grassy slope, known as the High Viewing Pavilion, offers a panoramic view of the entire plateau area and the valley below, all visible at a glance. During the summer vacation, the grand Taiwan International Balloon Festival and the Light Sculpture Music Festival are held, attracting travelers from around the world to participate. Activities include hot air balloon tethered experiences, free flight performances, stunning light sculpture music shows, and dawn light sculpture music events, creating unforgettable memories for all.
