Dongdaemun International Tourism Night Market Introduction
Hualien Dongdamen Night Market includes four sections: Fucheng Night Market, Street of Provinces, Indigenous Peoples Street, and Ziqiang Night Market. It is located in the Sixth Phase Development Zone, and visitors can take a bus from Hualien Train Station to reach the night market. The pavement of the night market is paved with Indian black granite combined with Quanzhou white granite, with each square tile measuring 1.5 meters on each side and a thickness of 10 centimeters. Heavy machinery was required for installation, and the tiles are resistant to damage even after years of foot traffic. Fucheng Night Market features a variety of authentic Taiwanese street food and toys, including stinky tofu, grilled sausages, freshly squeezed juice, pinball machines, and darts. Indigenous Peoples Street is constructed with wood and bamboo, exuding a natural and primitive charm. It offers indigenous cuisine, including freshly harvested wild vegetables, stir-fried mountain pork, stone-grilled food, A-Li Bang Bang, and millet wine specials. This allows visitors to revisit the deliciousness of tribal food while making indigenous people feel the warmth of home. Street of Provinces is built with vintage red bricks and decorated with large red lanterns, creating a nostalgic atmosphere. Future vendors will continue to sell dishes representative of provinces such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Henan, Hebei, Hunan, and Jiangxi. Ziqiang Night Market has most of its vendors located in the latter half of Indigenous Peoples Street. Many of these vendors are well-established shops with decades of recommendations, attracting a steady stream of customers.
