South Bay Park Introduction
Nanbin Park is located along the Pacific Ocean and covers an area of more than 20 hectares. The park features small bridges and flowing water, pavilions, and various sculptures of marine life scattered across grassy areas. The facilities include a circular plaza, a dove feeding area, observation telescopes, rockery areas, a coconut grove, and a children's playground. On clear and sunny holidays, paragliders and kites often soar in the sky, while people stroll along the seaside path and in pavilions, enjoying the view of the ocean. Young people can be seen playing in the water along the beach, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of Nanbin Park. This park is also the starting point of the coastal bicycle path, which extends all the way to Qixingtan, making it one of the best routes to appreciate Hualien's coastal scenery. In the evening, Nanbin Park transforms into the beloved Nanbin Night Market for children. "For fun, go to Nanbin Night Market; for good food, head to Ziqiang Night Market," as the night market comes alive with various childhood games, including darts, ring toss, goldfish scooping, turtle fishing, basketball shooting, water ball tossing, and pinball machines.
