Sunshine Electric City Introduction
Sunny Power City was originally the site of the Hualien Old Railway Station repair shop. With the relocation of the old station, it was transformed into a building primarily focused on solar energy generation after careful planning. Completed in 2015 with vibrant murals and greenery, it has become a new recreational spot complemented by the nearby night market and a bicycle path connecting to the Pacific Ocean. The striking murals against the blue sky and white clouds evoke the name "Sunny Power City," bringing a feeling of sunshine and joy. Inside, the area retains the old appearance of the railway, ensuring that its historical tracks are not erased. Connecting the city to the Pacific Landscape Park, visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the green paths without being disturbed by traffic, leading to scenic parks and seaside pavilions. With the salty sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves, whether you're a local or a tourist, it's a great place to enjoy the sea breeze, walk, exercise, or ride a bike. This location stands out as a place with historical significance and recreational opportunities.
