Sunshine Power City Introduction
Sunlight Power City was originally located at the old Hualien train station's maintenance depot. With the relocation of the old train station, it has been planned and transformed into a building mainly focused on solar energy. After its renovation and greening were completed in 2015, it became a new recreational spot, complemented by nearby night markets and connected to the Pacific Ocean by a bicycle path. The eye-catching murals against the blue sky and white clouds evoke the name "Sunlight Power City," bringing a sense of sunshine and joy. It retains the early railway's old appearance, preserving the historical trace. The connection from the city to the Pacific landscape park allows visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the verdant paths, undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of traffic, leading to the scenic park and seaside pavilion, accompanied by the salty sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves. Residents and tourists alike come here to enjoy the sea breeze, take walks, exercise, and ride bicycles, making it a fantastic place filled with historical charm and leisure activities.
