Sunshine Power City Introduction

Sunlight Electric City was originally the site of the Hualien Old Train Station's repair shop. With the relocation of the old train station and after thorough planning, it has been transformed into a solar power generation-focused building. After being repainted and greening was completed in 2015, it has become one of the new recreational attractions, paired with the surrounding night market and connected to the Pacific Ocean via bicycle paths. The vibrant murals against the blue sky and white clouds embody the essence of "Sunlight Electric City," bringing a sense of sunshine and joy. It retains the early railroads' appearance, ensuring that the historical traces are not erased. Connecting the urban area to the Pacific Landscape Park, visitors can leisurely stroll along the green pathways without being disturbed by traffic, walking towards the scenic park and sea-view pavilion, accompanied by the salty sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves. Whether for locals or tourists, this place is perfect for enjoying the sea breeze, walking, exercising, or cycling, making it a great spot with historical characteristics and recreational opportunities.
