Sixty Stone Mountain Introduction

Hualien has two mountains known as Jinzhenshan; among them, the Sixty Stone Mountain in Fuli Township is famous for its vast fields of daylilies. Every year in August and September, as you wind up the mountain roads, you will see the rolling hills adorned with brilliant yellow flowers against the backdrop of lush green forests. When you reach the mountain ridge, accompanied by the blue skies and drifting clouds, you can overlook the spectacular expanse of flowers, which becomes even more vibrant and enchanting. Even outside the blooming season of the daylilies, one can leisurely stroll through this beautiful and vast scenery, where green waves of grass are occasionally dotted with red-tiled farmhouses, showcasing the charming mountainous landscape. From the pavilion, you can enjoy a view of the fertile rice cultivation areas in the Hualien-Taitung Valley, taking in the valley's scenery reminiscent of Switzerland in Europe. With its comfortable and cool mid-elevation climate, it is also referred to as "Little Switzerland of Taiwan." Visitors can enjoy the leisurely European-inspired ambiance year-round, but to see the golden sea of daylilies, it's essential to choose the right season!
