Liushidan Mountain Introduction
Hualien has two Golden Needle Mountains, with the Sixty Stone Mountain located in Fuli Township being one of them, renowned for its vast fields of golden needle lilies. Every year in August and September, as you wind your way up the mountain roads, you can see the vibrant yellow blooms dancing among the lush green forests and valleys. Upon reaching the ridge, accompanied by blue skies and clouds, you can overlook the magnificent flower sea, making it even more stunning. Even outside the blooming season, visitors can leisurely wander through this beautiful and expansive landscape, where the green waves and occasional red-tiled farmhouses create a picturesque mountainous scene. Climbing up to the pavilion allows for a view of the fertile rice cultivation area in the East Rift Valley, showcasing the charm of the valley, akin to that of Switzerland in Europe. With its comfortable and cool mid-elevation climate, it is also known as "Little Switzerland of Taiwan." Tourists can head to the mountain year-round to experience the relaxed European atmosphere, but if you want to see the golden sea of needle lilies, make sure to choose the right season!
