Jiharaei Introduction
Jilamde Tribal Village is located in Fengnan Village, Fuli Township, at the southernmost end of Hualien County. The residents are primarily from the Amis tribe. The traditional crop was dry rice, and during the Qing Dynasty and Japanese colonial period, they came into contact with rice planting techniques. The rice cultivated here is of excellent quality, and it was used as tribute rice for the Emperor during the Japanese rule. A short section of the Fudong Road leading to Jihala'ai resembles the gorge topography and the scenery along the Central Cross-Island Highway, earning it the nickname "Little Tianxiang."
