Beihbing Park Introduction
Beibin Park is located at the northern end of Hualien Bay, adjacent to the vast Pacific Ocean. It is a popular spot for Hualien residents to enjoy the scenery and take walks in the morning and evening, as well as for leisure activities on weekends. The park features beach volleyball courts, extreme sports, and skateboarding facilities favored by young people, who often gather here to compete and work up a sweat during holidays; a row of wooden pavilions facing the sea serves as a gathering place for the elderly to enjoy the ocean view, often hosting friends picnicking and chatting; while children are most interested in the water play area, where on summer evenings they can play in the sand at the beach volleyball court before splashing around, enjoying a refreshing spa-like experience. The harbor-side bike path stretches for 15 kilometers, traveling north along the coastline to its endpoint at Qixing Lake, allowing cyclists to appreciate Hualien's beautiful landscape, making it a favorite among cycling enthusiasts; for those seeking a physical challenge, they can ride south to Liuchih Lake, which is a total of 35.3 kilometers. On weekends, Beibin Park is lively, with children flying kites and adults flying remote-controlled airplanes, drawing the attention of visitors; the sea is also not quiet, dotted with sailboats gliding across the waters. Early in the morning, around 4 or 5 a.m., locals come to Beibin Park for exercise, while early-rising tourists come to greet Taiwan's first light of dawn; in the evening, it's perfect for standing quietly and watching the moon rise from the horizon. Different times, yet the same beauty and emotion.
