Beibin Park Introduction

Beibin Park is located at the northern end of Hualien Bay, adjacent to the vast Pacific Ocean. It is a great place for Hualien residents to enjoy the scenery and take walks at dawn and dusk, as well as engage in leisure activities on weekends. The park features beach volleyball courts, extreme sports, and skateboarding areas that are popular with teenagers. On weekends, many young people can often be seen sweating it out in competitions here. There is a row of wooden pavilions facing the sea, where elderly people gather to enjoy the view, and it is common to see small groups of friends picnicking and chatting. Children are particularly interested in the family-friendly water play area, where, on summer evenings, they can play in the sand at the beach volleyball court before heading to the water play area to cool off in the spa-like environment. The coastal bike path here is 15 kilometers long and runs north along the coastline to the endpoint at Qixingtan, where cyclists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hualien's mountains and waters; for those looking for a physical challenge, they can ride south to Liyu Lake, covering a total length of 35.3 kilometers. On weekends, Beibin Park is lively, with children flying kites and adults flying remote-controlled airplanes, often attracting the attention of visitors; the sea is also bustling with sailing boats gliding through the water. In the early morning hours of four or five o'clock, local Hualien residents come to Beibin Park to exercise, while early-rising tourists specifically come to welcome Taiwan's first light of dawn. In the evening, the park is perfect for quietly gazing at the moon rising above the horizon. Different times, yet the same beauty and emotion.
