Beibin Park Introduction
Beibin Park is located at the northern end of Hualien Bay, adjacent to the vast Pacific Ocean. It is a favorite place for Hualien citizens to enjoy the scenery and take walks during morning and evening, as well as a perfect spot for leisure activities on weekends. The park features volleyball courts popular among teenagers, as well as areas for extreme sports and skateboarding. On weekends, many young people can be seen competing and exercising here. A row of wooden pavilions facing the sea serves as a gathering place for the elderly, and it is common to see groups of friends picnicking and chatting there. Children are particularly interested in the parent-child water play area; in the summer evenings, they enjoy playing in the sand at the beach volleyball court before heading to the water play area for a refreshing splash. The coastal bike path here is 15 kilometers long, running north along the coastline to the terminus at Qixing Lake, allowing cyclists to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hualien's mountains and waters, making it a favorite spot for biking enthusiasts. For a more challenging ride, one can head south toward Liwu Lake, which is a total length of 35.3 kilometers. On weekends, the sky at Beibin Park is lively, with children flying kites and adults operating remote-controlled airplanes, often attracting the attention of tourists; the sea is also bustling with the sight of sailboats gliding across the waters. Early in the morning around four or five o'clock, locals come to Beibin Park to exercise, and early-rising tourists specifically come to witness the first light of dawn in Taiwan; in the evening, it is suitable for quietly standing and watching the moon rise from the horizon. Different times bring the same beauty and emotion.
