Nanhua Forestry Culture Park (Nanhua Forest Park) Introduction
Behind the Nanhua Work Station of the Forestry Bureau is the Nanhua Forest Cultural Park, which retains a natural ecological landscape. The park was formerly a lumber storage and processing area and was an important timber distribution center in Hualien from the 1950s to the 1970s. In 2006, approximately 7 hectares of the park were replanned, and trees such as camphor, sweet gum, thousand-year paulownia, three-year paulownia, dragon vine, paper mulberry, and Taitung firethorn were planted. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, including black-crowned night herons, ring-necked pheasants, and little egrets, making it rich in both flora and fauna.
