Nanhua Linye Cultural Park (Nanhua Forest Park) Introduction
Behind the Nanhua Work Station of the Forest Bureau is the Nanhua Forestry Cultural Park, which preserves natural ecological landscapes. The park was formerly a timber storage and sawmill site and was an important timber distribution center in Hualien from the 1950s to the 1970s. In 2006, approximately 7 hectares of the park were replanned to plant species such as camphor trees, sweet gum trees, Paulownia fortunei, three-year-old Paulownia, goosefoot vines, white melastoma, and Taitung firethorn. The park is also home to various bird species, including the black-crowned night heron, Ring-necked pheasant, and little egret, making it rich in both flora and fauna.
