Baikeng Beach Introduction
The most famous agricultural product of Baikeng Village is the fragrant mushroom, which can be harvested three to four times a year, making it the largest producer in all of Penghu. This area also cultivates aloe vera. In the northeastern part of Lake Hsi, Baikeng Village has a sandy beach composed of coral fragments, which is rarely known to people, giving it a particularly tranquil and mysterious atmosphere. From Baikeng Beach, on a clear and good visibility day, one can faintly see the East China Sea Islands. To the right is Kui Bi Mountain, and to the east is Qingluo. This beach is close to a dike filled with abundant saddle vines; the delicate flowers and green grass contrast beautifully with the white sand, creating an enchanting scene under the sunlight. Baikeng Village is rich in coral limestone debris and shells, which are the main raw materials for producing lime construction materials. It used to be known as a "hub of lime kiln industry." However, with the rise of the cement industry, the market for lime has greatly diminished, leading to the decline of the lime kilns as a sunset industry. Environmental factors and changes over time have also contributed to this decline. Because of this, the area can better present the most natural scenery. 【Recommended stay duration】 0.5 hours.
