Baikeng Beach Introduction
Bai Keng Village is best known for its fragrant mushroom, which can be harvested three to four times a year, making it the top producer in all of Penghu. Aloe vera is also cultivated here. In Bai Keng Village in Huxi, there is a beach located in the northeast, composed of coral fragments. Due to its low visibility, this beach appears particularly tranquil and mysterious. Looking out from Bai Keng Beach, on a clear day with high visibility, the Dongsha Islands can be faintly seen; to the right is Kuibi Mountain, and to the east is Qingluo. This beach is close to a dam filled with Saddle Vine, where delicate flowers and green grass contrast beautifully with the white sand, creating a very picturesque scene under the sunlight. Bai Keng Village produces a large quantity of coral limestone fragments and shells, which are also the main raw materials for making lime building materials. Therefore, it once became the "stronghold of the lime kiln industry." However, with the rise of the cement industry, the market for lime has greatly declined, turning lime kilns into a sunset industry. Additionally, due to environmental protection factors and changes over time, lime kilns have gradually fallen into decline. Because of this, the area is even more able to present its most natural scenery. [Recommended stay time] 0.5 hours
