Qingluo Beach Introduction
Qingluo Sandbar Wetland is one of the unique ecological attractions in Penghu. Located on the northwest coast of Hutou Mountain, north of Qingluo Village, there is a hook-shaped sandbar that is a rare marine accumulation landform in Penghu. The extensive wetland in Qingluo Village is frequently visited by waterfowl during spring and autumn. Qingluo Sandbar is the largest sandbar formation in Penghu, featuring beautiful scenery and serving as a breeding ground for the protected migratory bird, the Little Tern, highlighting the precious nature of its landscape and habitat. The surrounding rich intertidal zone allows local residents to be seen collecting shellfish at low tide. This area is also the largest mangrove protection zone in Penghu, home to the newly recorded species "Beautiful Fiddler Crab," which has greatly surprised ecological experts. It boasts a rich variety of bird species and includes a designated birdwatching area. With its vast area, it is one of the important habitats for birds in Penghu, and serves as a major breeding and wintering site for the protected Little Tern.
