Qingluo Cape Introduction
Qingluo Sandbar Wetland is one of the unique ecological attractions in Penghu. Located on the northwest shore of Huxi Mountain, north of Qingluo Village, there is a hook-shaped sandbar beach, which is a rare coastal geomorphological feature in Penghu. The wetland around Qingluo Village is vast, and migratory birds visit to forage during spring and autumn. Qingluo Sandbar is the largest sandbar formation in Penghu and is not only beautiful in landscape but also serves as a breeding ground for the endangered migratory bird, the Little Tern, highlighting its ecological and habitat significance. The surrounding intertidal zones are rich in resources, and during low tide, local residents can be seen gathering shellfish. This area is also home to Penghu's largest mangrove conservation zone, where experts have discovered a new record species for Taiwan, the colorful fiddler crab. Additionally, it hosts a variety of bird species and features dedicated areas for birdwatching. Its extensive area makes it one of the essential habitats for birds in Penghu, where the Little Tern breeds, and a critical wintering and migratory site for a hundred species and thousands of migratory birds each year, boasting abundant natural and cultural ecological resources. 【Recommended stay duration】 1 hour.
