Qingluo Village, Yangming Miao Pagoda Introduction
The appearance of Shigandeng: Tower-shaped Shigandeng Monument Inscription: Total Height: 4.35M Circumference: 12.5M Construction Form: Bottle-shaped Top Decoration: Gourd The main living area of Qingshuijiao Village in the early days was primarily to the east, while the west developed more slowly compared to the east. Under the guidance of the Deity Zhenwu, a stone tower was established on the high ground of "Shanzaitou," which led to the development of the western village as well. The current Yangming Miao Tower, as seen today, was reconstructed in the 60th year of the Republic of China based on the instructions of the Deity Zhenwu; the exact date of the original tower's construction is unknown. Interestingly, the Yangming Miao Tower is the only stone tower in Penghu known for its rain-collecting function. It is said that during long periods of drought, when the locally known "Great Grass" plant was inserted into the stone tower, rain would inevitably fall a few days later, allowing the villagers' crops to thrive. The location of the stone tower is considered the first star of the Qixing (Seven Stars) geography, thus it is also referred to as Qixing Tower. The viewing area offers an excellent perspective, allowing visitors to overlook the beautiful scenery of Qingshuijiao Sandbank and Yuzaijia, ensuring a memorable experience.
