Dream Beach Introduction
Behind the Xiaoqi Reservoir, there is a beautiful spot known by locals as Dream Beach, also referred to as Wang'an Beach. This beach is approximately two hundred meters long, featuring fine golden sand, a relatively remote location, and only reveals its true face during low tide. Usually submerged in the sea during high tide, this beach is known for its exquisite sand. To reach the Dream Beach within the fjord, one must descend from the dam of the Xiaoqi Reservoir, discovering this paradise. By crossing over a rocky area, visitors can enjoy the beautiful beach scenery. If you prefer to avoid crowds, this is definitely a great destination! Walking down from the back of the reservoir, you can feel the super fine sand beneath your feet. There are stone fish traps on both sides of the beach, and nearby is a small area with stunning columnar basalt formations. At dusk, the famous sunset at Xiyu can be seen right in front, where you can admire the sunset as golden rays shimmer on the sandy beach, creating picturesque scenery, which has earned it the title of Golden Sand Beach.
