Dream Beach Introduction
Behind Xiaoqi Reservoir, there is a beautiful spot known locally as Dream Beach, also referred to as Wang'an Beach. This beach is approximately two hundred meters long, characterized by its simple beauty, fine golden sand, and relatively remote location. It can only be appreciated during low tide, as the sand is usually submerged in the sea, making it very fine and delicate. During high tide, the entire beach is submerged underwater and completely disappears, hence the name Dream Beach. Inside the fjord, Dream Beach can be discovered by walking down from the embankment of Xiaoqi Reservoir, revealing this enchanting paradise. After crossing over the rocky areas, visitors can enjoy the picturesque beach. If you want to avoid crowds, this is definitely a great destination! By descending from the back of the reservoir, you can step onto the incredibly fine sand. Both sides of the beach are lined with stone weirs, and there is a small area with stunning hexagonal basalt formations nearby. At dusk, the famous sunset at Xiyu can be seen in front, where one can enjoy the sunset with golden light shimmering on the beach’s surface, creating a picturesque scene.
