The largest island in the northern part of Penghu, the Shawei Bay features a golden bay stretching thousands of meters along the coastline, where the blue sky, azure sea, and golden beach create a picturesque scene. Jibeizai extends from Xikanshan towards the southeast, with its tip shaped by ocean currents creating a sandbar that juts into the sea. Viewed from above, it resembles a golden-white spoon in the ocean.

Jibeishawei Introduction

Jibei Sandbar is located on Jibei Island to the north of Baisha Township, and the most famous feature of the island is its captivating sandbar, which is 800 meters long and 300 meters wide. The sandy tail of the island stretches into the sea, where the blue ocean and golden coastline create a picturesque scene. The island offers vacation cottages for accommodation, making it a popular spot for summer vacations, honeymoons, and water activities. The coastal currents, waves, and tides continually erode the coastline, moving the fallen rock debris and gravel to suitable locations, which over time form beach, shoal, sandbar, and land-connected island coastal landforms. The beautiful and unique sandbar of Jibei was formed in this way. The sandbar extends outward, accumulating thousands of meters of beach with a long shape, and is covered in golden sand, which is why it is also known as Jibei's "Golden Sandbar." It is not only adjacent to the azure coastline; nearby, there are lush coastal plants that add to the beauty. The color of the sea ranges from light blue to deep blue, creating a gradient that complements the golden sandy beach.
