Zhu Wan Crab Museum Introduction
Located next to the Dayi Temple in Zhuwan, Xiyu Township, Penghu, covering more than a hundred pings, the museum boasts hundreds of varieties of shrimps and crabs, with thousands of specimens and living specimens, making it the largest in the country. The collection of crabs in the museum is the result of six years of hard work by the curator, Chen Hongtu, whose unique techniques developed through years of research have contributed to the quality of the crab specimens. The variety and abundance of shrimps and crabs on display are truly breathtaking. Curator Chen Hongtu, a native of Zhuwan, Xiyu, has been involved with crabs for over ten years. Most of the crabs in the collection come from the waters around Penghu, and some are collected from around the world. Among them are the largest, heaviest, most poisonous, fastest-running crabs, as well as crabs that can climb trees, have faces resembling Guan Gong, or have horns like a ram. Additionally, there are deep-sea shrimps that do not have eyes, the largest lobsters, and many other bizarre and unique species that are beyond imagination, all of which can be seen in the Zhuwan Crab Museum.
