Qingluo Beach Introduction
Qingluo Beach, located on the northern coast of Huxi Township in Penghu, is an important ecological area of Penghu. This beach stretches for hundreds of meters and is made up of coral fragments, with fine shell sand at the back. The area features coastal wetlands that attract flocks of migratory birds, and it is also a breeding ground for the endangered Little Tern, making it one of the largest habitats and wintering sites for birds in Penghu. Each year, over a hundred bird species and thousands of migratory birds spend the winter or stop over here, boasting rich natural and cultural ecological resources. Qingluo Beach, characterized by coral reefs and basalt formations, is vast and sparsely populated, making it a tranquil destination. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of Qingluo Beach and feel the cool sea water on your feet. To the west, the area is adorned with windmills in Zhongtun, while northeast are the islands of the East China Sea. During sunset, the sea and windmills create a picturesque scene. In front of Qingluo Beach is a wide intertidal zone where you can collect shells during low tide and admire the tidal flats.
