Qingluo Beach Introduction
Qingluo Beach, located on the northern coast of Huxi Township in Penghu, is also one of the important ecological areas in Penghu. This beach stretches for hundreds of meters with coral gravel, and the back section has fine shell sand. It features coastal wetlands that attract flocks of migratory birds passing through or stopping here, as well as the endangered little terns breeding in the area. It is also one of the largest wintering and resting habitats for birds in Penghu, home to over a hundred bird species and thousands of wintering or migratory birds each year, boasting rich natural and cultural ecological resources. Qingluo Beach, with its coral reefs and basalt formations, is vast and sparsely populated, making it a tranquil spot! Here, one can enjoy the beauty of Qingluo Beach, wade in the cool sea water, and appreciate the geography with wind turbines to the west and the Dongsha Islands to the northeast. At sunset, the sea surface complemented by the wind turbines looks even more charming. In front of Qingluo Beach, there is a wide intertidal zone where one can collect shells during low tide and enjoy the intertidal environment. The Qingluo Coast is characterized by diverse wetlands, including rocky reefs, pebbles, sandy beaches, and muddy shores, as well as mangroves, tidal pools, sandbars, and fish ponds, representing a miniature landscape of various wetlands in Penghu.
