Yanliao Seaside Park (Lanyan Seaside Recreation Area) Introduction
Yuanliao Coastal Park (Blue Bay Coastal Recreation Area), located in Gongliao District, New Taipei City, covers an area of 80 hectares, making it the largest recreation spot in the Northeast region. Its 3-kilometer stretch of golden coastline, extending to Fulong, is unmatched in Taiwan and is suitable for a variety of recreational activities such as swimming, sand sculpting, beach volleyball, and shore fishing. Yuanliao was the first landing point when Japan colonized Taiwan, and an 8.8-meter-high "Yuanliao Anti-Japanese Memorial" stands by the beach to honor the brave martyrs who resisted the Japanese invasion, evoking strong emotions. The area is equipped with public facilities and will eventually connect to Fulong, forming a complete recreational zone with scenic platforms, walking paths, and bike lanes, offering multiple options for leisure activities even when not swimming.
