Yenliao Seaside Park (Lanwan Seaside Recreation Area) Introduction
Yenliao Coastal Park (Lanwan Coastal Recreation Area) in Gongliao District, New Taipei City covers an area of 80 hectares and is the largest recreational spot in the Northeast Coast region. Stretching 3 kilometers to the golden coast of Fulong, it is unparalleled in Taiwan, making it suitable for various recreational activities such as swimming, sand sculpture, beach volleyball, and surf fishing. Yenliao was the first landing point when Japan colonized Taiwan, and an 8.8-meter tall "Yenliao Anti-Japanese Monument" was built beside the beach to commemorate the brave martyrs who resisted the Japanese invaders. The area is well-equipped with public facilities and will soon connect with Fulong to form a complete recreational corridor, featuring scenic platforms, trails, and bicycle paths, offering numerous options for recreation even when not swimming.
