Yianliao Seaside Park (Lanwan Seaside Recreation Area) Introduction
Yenliao Seaside Park (Lanwan Seaside Recreation Area), located in Gongliao District, New Taipei City, spans 80 hectares and is the largest recreational spot in the Northeast Corner. The 3-kilometer stretch of golden coastline extending to Fulong is unparalleled in Taiwan, making it suitable for various recreational activities such as swimming, sand sculpting, beach volleyball, and surf fishing. Yenliao was once the first landing site during the Japanese colonial period in Taiwan, marked by the 8.8-meter tall "Yenliao Anti-Japan Memorial,” which commemorates the brave patriots who resisted the Japanese invasion, evoking deep emotions. The area is well-equipped with public facilities and will further connect with Fulong to create a complete recreational corridor, featuring scenic platforms, walking trails, and bike paths, offering a variety of recreational options even when not swimming.
