Yanliao Seaside Park (Blue Bay Seaside Recreation Area) Introduction

Salt Liao Coastal Park (Lan Bay Coastal Recreation Area), located in Gongliao District, New Taipei City, covers an area of 80 hectares and is the largest recreational site in the northeastern region. The golden coastline stretches 3 kilometers to Fulong, which is the best in Taiwan. It is suitable for a variety of recreational activities such as swimming, sand sculpting, beach volleyball, and fishing. Salt Liao was the first landing point during the Japanese colonial period in Taiwan, and an 8.8-meter high "Salt Liao Anti-Japanese Memorial" has been built beside the beach to commemorate the brave martyrs who resisted the Japanese invasion, evoking deep sentiments. The area is well-equipped with public facilities and will soon connect with Fulong to create a complete recreational corridor, featuring scenic platforms, walking paths, and bike lanes, with various leisure options available even when swimming is not an option.
