Banchiao Rural Park Introduction
Banchiao Rural Park is located at the intersection of Wenhua Road and Shuangshi Road. It was established by the Banchiao Farmers Association in 1989 and covers an area of approximately 8,400 square meters. It is the first recreational park in Taiwan themed around the rural landscape and agricultural scenery of the early post-war period in Taiwan. The park features five areas: a traditional courtyard, Changchun Garden, a folk theater, eight rural scenic spots, and a health trail. There is also a Fude Temple, and an indoor exhibition hall showcases arrangements from the early agricultural society, including a large kitchen, a grandmother's room, a wooden bed chamber, and plowing tools. Outside, there are statues of ducks and chicks by the pond and under trees, creating a strong rural atmosphere. With the rapid development of urban areas, the traditional courtyard landscape is gradually disappearing. The fast-developing Banchiao is also a nostalgic place, especially with the construction of a countryside-themed recreational park in the bustling urban area, allowing today's "city bumpkins" to reconnect with past lives. Next to the park's main entrance is a long corridor with a stage, where many elderly people enjoy gathering to play chess and chat. The stage occasionally hosts old movies or performances of traditional Taiwanese opera, immersing visitors in cherished memories of the past.
