Banqiao Agricultural Park Introduction
Banqiao Rural Park is located at the intersection of Wenhua Road and Shuangshi Road, established by the Banqiao District Farmers' Association in 1989. Covering an area of approximately 8,400 square meters, it is the first recreational park in Taiwan themed around the rural scenery and pastoral landscape from the early post-war period in Taiwan. The park features five areas: a traditional three-section courtyard, a Chángchūn Garden, a folk theater, eight rural scenic spots, and a health trail, along with a Fude Temple. The indoor exhibition hall displays artifacts from the early agricultural society, including a large kitchen, a grandmother's hall, a wooden bed chamber, and plowing tools. Outside, there are statues of ducks and chicks by the pond and under the trees, creating a strong rural atmosphere. As urban development accelerates, the rural landscape and old three-section courtyards have gradually disappeared. The rapidly developing Banqiao is also a nostalgic place, especially with the construction of a leisure park centered on rural landscaping in the bustling urban area, allowing today's "city bumpkins" to connect with past lifestyles. Next to the park's main entrance, there is a long corridor and a stage where many elderly people like to gather to play chess and chat; the stage occasionally shows old movies or performances of Taiwanese opera, immersing people in beautiful memories of the past.
