Banqiao Rural Park Introduction
Banchiao Rural Park is located at the intersection of Wenhua Road and Shuangshi Road. It was established by the Banchiao Agricultural Association in 1989 and covers an area of approximately 8,400 square meters. It is the first park in Taiwan designed with the theme of rural scenes and pastoral landscapes from the early post-Japanese colonial period. The park features five areas, including a traditional-style Sanheyuan, Changchun Garden, a folk performance stage, Rural Eight Sceneries, and a health trail, along with a Fude Temple. The indoor exhibition hall showcases artifacts from early agricultural society, such as a large kitchen, grandmother's hall, wooden bed bedroom, and plowing tools. Outside, there are sculptures of ducks and chicks located by the pond and under the trees, creating a strong rural atmosphere. With rapid urban development, the rural landscape and traditional Sanheyuan have gradually faded away. The rapidly developing Banchiao is also a nostalgic place, especially with the establishment of a leisure park featuring rural scenery in the bustling metropolitan area, allowing today's urban dwellers to understand past ways of life. Next to the park's main entrance, there is a corridor and a stage where many elderly people enjoy gathering to play chess and chat. The stage periodically screens old movies or performs Taiwanese opera, immersing visitors in beautiful memories of the past.
