Secret Intelligence Bureau North Office (Old Site) Introduction
The original site was the "Takasago Iron Works Company" (Takasago Casting Co.), invested by the Wu family of Lukang during the Japanese colonial period in 1917. Later, it was managed by Wu Hsien-Jung's daughter-in-law, Wu Yen-Pi-Hsia (wife of Wu Yue-Fu). After the war, the Nationalist government took over, and the factory was forcibly closed due to Wu Yen-Pi-Hsia's involvement in anti-government activities. It was then used by the Ministry of National Defense's Confidential Bureau and served as a key location for the interrogation of political prisoners during the early stage of the White Terror in the 1950s.
