Taipei Foods

Jinshan Old Street, formed along the alleys of the mountain town's residential area, was once a bustling marketplace and is now one of the popular tourist attractions in the old street. Speaking of Jinshan Jinbaoli Old Street, one cannot mention it without referring to the famous "Jinshan Duck Meat"; this restaurant has been in operation since 1958 and has been a renowned establishment in Jinbaoli for over fifty years, now run by the second generation, the couple Li Guangxiong and You Meifu. Initially, it started as a small noodle stall, and after two or three years, they began selling duck meat. At first, they could only sell one duck a day, and later as more customers came, they managed to sell a dozen at most. It wasn't until more than a decade ago that the government's development of the North Coast Scenic Area boosted the local tourism industry, enabling Jinshan Duck Meat's business to truly take off. Eventually, business became so good that even with the help of over forty friends and relatives, they still struggled to keep up with demand; food lovers traveling from afar began to help themselves, carrying plates and bowls, searching for a place to enjoy the duck meat, creating a scene where everyone had a plate of duck meat traversing the old street, attracting nearly 500,000 food enthusiasts each year.
