Jinshan Duck Meat Introduction
Jin Shan Old Street, formed along the alleys of the hillside residences, has historically been a bustling market hub and is now one of the popular tourist attractions. When talking about Jin Shan Jin Bao Li Old Street, one cannot help but mention the famous "Jin Shan Duck Meat". This renowned restaurant has been operating since 1958 and has been a staple in Jin Bao Li for over fifty years, currently managed by the second generation, Li Guangxiong and his wife You Meifu. Initially a small noodle stall, they first began selling duck meat after two to three years in business, with only one duck sold per day at first. As more customers came, they gradually increased sales, but the maximum was still only a few dozen ducks. It wasn't until over a decade ago, when the government developed the North Coast Scenic Area, that the local tourism industry began to flourish, leading to a significant boost in the duck meat business. Eventually, the popularity grew to the point where even with the help of over forty relatives and friends, they still couldn't keep up with the demand. Food enthusiasts traveling from afar began to help themselves to plates and bowls, leading to a unique scene where everyone walked around the old street each holding a plate of duck, attracting nearly 500,000 foodies each year.
