Jinshan Duck Meat Introduction
Jinshan Old Street, formed along the alleys of mountainous residential areas, was once a bustling market hub and is now one of the popular tourist attractions of old streets. When talking about Jinshan Jinbaoli Old Street, one cannot miss the renowned "Jinshan Duck Meat." This restaurant, which has been operating since 1958, has been a staple in Jinbaoli for over fifty years and is currently run by the second generation, Mr. Li Guangxiong and his wife Ms. You Meifu. Initially, it started as a small noodle stand, and only after two or three years did they begin selling duck meat. At first, they could only sell one duck a day, and later, as more customers came, they managed to sell a dozen at most. It wasn't until more than a decade ago, when the government developed the North Coast Scenic Area, that the local tourism industry in Jinshan truly began to flourish, allowing Jinshan Duck Meat's business to pick up considerably. Eventually, the business grew so much that even with help from over forty relatives and friends, they still couldn't keep up with the demand. Food enthusiasts traveling from afar began to serve themselves, carrying plates and bowls in search of their "spot" for duck meat, eventually creating a unique scene of patrons wandering through the old street with a plate of duck meat. It is said that nearly 500,000 food lovers are attracted each year.
