Taipei Foods

Jinshan Old Street, formed along the alleys of the hillside residences, was once a bustling marketplace and is now one of the popular tourist attractions in the area. When talking about Jinshan Jinbaoli Old Street, one cannot miss the famous "Jinshan Duck Meat"; this restaurant has been in operation since 1958 and has been a well-known establishment in Jinbaoli for over fifty years, now run by the second generation, Li Guangxiong and You Meifu. Initially a small noodle stall, they began selling duck meat only after two to three years of operation. At first, they could only sell one duck a day, and even as more customers came, they could manage only a dozen at most. It wasn't until over a decade ago, when the government developed the North Coast Scenic Area, that Jinshan Duck Meat truly saw a surge in business. Eventually, the business became so booming that even with the help of over forty family and friends, they still struggled to keep up with demand; gourmets traveling from afar in search of duck meat began to serve themselves, leading to the peculiar sight of individuals walking through the old street with plates of duck meat in hand, with nearly five hundred thousand food enthusiasts drawn to the area each year.
