Taipei Foods

Jinshan Old Street, formed along the alleys of the hillside residences, is a hub of the bustling market from the past and is one of the popular tourist attractions today. Speaking of Jinshan Jinbao Li Old Street, one cannot fail to mention the famous "Jinshan Duck Meat." This restaurant, which has been in operation since 1958, has been a staple in Jinbao Li for over fifty years and is now run by the second generation, Li Guangxiong and You Meifu. Initially, it started as a small noodle stand, and after two or three years, it began selling duck meat; at first, they could only sell one duck a day, and later, as more customers came, they managed to sell a dozen at most. It wasn't until more than a decade ago, when the government developed the North Coast Scenic Area, that the local tourism industry began to flourish, causing the business of Jinshan Duck Meat to truly take off. Eventually, the demand became so high that even with the help of over forty relatives and friends, they still couldn't keep up; foodies who traveled from afar to taste the duck meat began to serve themselves, leading to a unique sight of customers holding plates of duck meat wandering around the old street looking for a place to enjoy their meal, attracting nearly 500,000 food lovers each year.
