Zhongjiao Bay (Zhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base) Introduction
Zhujiao Bay, with its inward-facing sandy beach terrain, is an excellent surfing spot in northern Taiwan, thanks to the waves brought by the seasonal north winds. During weekends, many surfers can be seen riding the waves. The sandy shore of Zhujiao Bay features a larger shallow area, with fine sand and few stones, making it a great place for family outings to enjoy summer water activities together. Around Zhujiao Bay, there are facilities such as paid hot and cold shower rooms, a visitor center, and a surfing center. Several clubs offer surfboard rentals and lessons, so whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer, you can find the joy of surfing on this beach. If you wish to relax and admire the sea, travelers can sit in the rest area of the circular plaza, enjoying the unbeatable sea view of the blue sky and ocean, or visit nearby scenic cafés for a cup of coffee during a leisurely afternoon. In addition to surfing and swimming, visitors to Zhujiao Bay can also enjoy a distant view of the famous scenic spots of Jinshan, the "Candleholder Islets," which resemble two candlesticks facing each other. There is also a poignant legend of the "Couple Rock" associated with them.
