Zhongjiao Bay (Zhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base) Introduction
Zhongjiao Bay, with its crescent-shaped sandy shoreline, is an excellent surfing spot in Northern Taiwan, bringing in waves after waves under the seasonal northern winds. On weekends, you can often see many surfers riding the waves. The sandy shore at Zhongjiao Bay features a larger shallow area with fine sand and few stones, making it perfect for families to enjoy a day of summer water activities together. Surrounding Zhongjiao Bay, there are facilities including paid hot and cold showers, a visitor center, and a surfing center, as well as several clubs offering surfboard rentals and lessons. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer, you can find excitement in surfing on this beach. If you're looking to relax and enjoy the view of the sea, travelers can sit in the resting area of the circular plaza to appreciate the stunning ocean view or head to nearby scenic cafes for a leisurely afternoon with a cup of coffee. Besides surfing and water fun, you can also enjoy a distant view of the famous sight "Candle Holder Islets" in Jinshan, which resembles two candle holders facing each other and comes with a poignant legend of "Couple Rocks."
