Zhongjiao Bay (Zhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base) Introduction
Zhongjiao Bay, with its concave sandy beach terrain, is an excellent surfing spot in northern Taiwan, where the northerly winds bring wave after wave throughout the four seasons. On weekends, many surfers can be seen riding the waves. The sandy beach at Zhongjiao Bay features a large shallow area with fine sand and few rocks, making it ideal for family outings to enjoy the summer water activities together. The surrounding area has paid hot and cold showers, a visitor center, a surfing center, and several clubs offering surfboard rentals and lessons, catering to both beginners and advanced surfers alike. For those looking to relax and enjoy the sea view, travelers can sit in the resting area of the circular plaza to take in the stunning ocean scenery or visit nearby scenic cafes for a leisurely afternoon with a cup of coffee. In addition to surfing and playing in the water, visitors to Zhongjiao Bay can also gaze out at the famous sight of "Candleholder Islets" in Jinshan, which resembles two candleholders facing each other and is associated with the poignant legend of the "Couple Stone."
