Ruan's Dried Meat Industry Concept Hall Introduction
The first industry cultural museum in Taiwan themed around jerky, breaking the conventional impression of jerky as traditional and Chinese, offers an interesting creative jerky experience along with a transparent manufacturing process. Through guided tours, the public can learn about the new era of jerky and the importance of food hygiene concepts. If you have seen the packaging, promotional materials, or website of “Ruan's Jerky,” you will notice the adorable jerky mascots, soothing promotional content, minimalist design, and a blend of fun and trendiness. With innovative packaging for traditional jerky, the product, which was originally only sold in markets during festivals, has transformed into a popular online delicacy. Taiwan is a culinary capital of the world, and jerky is a traditional Taiwanese delicacy, while chopsticks represent Chinese culinary culture. “Ruan's Jerky” innovatively combines these two features to create "Chopstick Jerky," perfectly merging local cuisine and culture. Due to changes in industry structure, tourism factories have flourished in recent years, guided by the government in transforming industries. Located on Zhineng Road in San Chong, Ruan's Jerky Industry Concept Museum was originally Zhongzheng Meat Shop, which operated in the old Huan Nan Market for over thirty years. After new blood from the second generation was injected, it transformed into a digital development, becoming an online famous group-buying delicacy. It transitioned from a physical store to e-commerce, and then from e-commerce back to physical retail. The Ruan's Jerky Industry Concept Museum opened in 2015. In addition to selling the brand's best-selling jerky products, it also provides DIY experiences for products and live demonstrations of the jerky-making process, offering a deeper understanding and appreciation of traditional Taiwanese food.
