Ruan's Dried Meat Industry Concept Museum Introduction
Taiwan's first cultural museum themed around meat jerky breaks the traditional and Chinese stereotype associated with jerky, offering interesting creative jerky experiences alongside transparent manufacturing processes. Through guided tours, the public can understand the new era of jerky and the emphasis on food hygiene concepts. If you've seen the packaging, promotional materials, or website of "Ruan's Jerky," you’ll notice the adorable jerky mascots, therapeutic promotional content, simple yet stylish design, and a blend of fun and trendiness. This fresh packaging reimagines traditional jerky, transforming a product that was once only sold at markets during festivals into a popular internet delicacy. Taiwan is known as the culinary capital of the world, and "jerky" is a traditional Taiwanese dish, while "chopsticks" represent Chinese dining culture. "Ruan's Jerky" innovatively combines these two features, creating "Chopstick Jerky," perfectly merging local delicacies and culture. Due to changes in industrial structure, the government has been guiding the transformation of tourism factories in recent years, which have become quite prosperous. Located on Zhongshan North Road in Sanchong, Ruan's Jerky Industry Concept Museum originated from the Zhongzheng Meat Shop, which had been operating at Huanan Market for over thirty years. After the second generation brought in new blood, it transformed and developed digitally into a well-known group purchase delicacy online, transitioning from a physical store to e-commerce and back to a physical presence. The Ruan's Jerky Industry Concept Museum opened in 2015, offering not only the brand's popular jerky products but also DIY product experiences and on-site observation of the jerky manufacturing process, providing a deeper understanding and appreciation of traditional Taiwanese foods.
