Chenguang Bridge Introduction
The Chen Guang Bridge is located within the New Taipei Metropolitan Park in the San Chong District. It is a newly opened scenic bridge that began operations at the end of 2018. The bridge connects the left and right banks of the Erchung Flood Diversion Channel and is designed based on the legendary story of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl's reunion. With a double-layered hyperbolic arch structure, the bridge creates a viewing platform that meanders like the Milky Way, symbolizing the path of their reunion. Besides the unique design of the bridge deck, it also features romantic constellation light sculptures that can be seen at night! As the first waterside scenic bridge designed for pedestrians and cyclists to stop and pass through, the Chen Guang Bridge boasts a landscaped stream, a wading carpet, a light snack resting plaza, green plant beautification, five nighttime constellation light sculptures, three accessible elevators, four gently sloped pedestrian paths, and seven nebula magpie nests, allowing the public to admire the beauty of the New Taipei Metropolitan Park both day and night.
