Chenguang Bridge Introduction
The Chen Guang Bridge is located within the New Taipei Metropolitan Park in Sanchong District. It is a newly inaugurated scenic bridge that opened at the end of 2018, connecting both sides of the Erchong Flood Diversion Channel. The design concept draws inspiration from the legendary reunion of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, featuring a double-layered hyperbolic arch structure that creates a viewing platform. The winding Chen Guang Bridge symbolizes the path of reunion, resembling the Milky Way. In addition to its unique bridge design, the illuminated bridge at night showcases romantic constellation light sculptures! As the first pedestrian and cyclist-friendly scenic bridge designed for stopping and passing, Chen Guang Bridge features a scenic stream, a water-play carpet, a light meal resting plaza, landscape greenery, five nighttime constellation light sculptures, three accessible elevators, four gently sloping trails, and seven nebula magpie birdhouses, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of New Taipei Metropolitan Park both day and night.
