Chengguang Bridge Introduction
The Chengguang Bridge is located within the New Taipei Metropolitan Park in the Sanchong District. This newly opened scenic bridge, inaugurated at the end of 2018, connects both sides of the Erchong Flood Diversion Channel. The design is inspired by the legendary story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl's reunion, featuring a double-layered hyperbolic structure that creates a viewing platform. The winding Chengguang Bridge symbolizes the path of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl's reunion, akin to a galaxy. Besides its unique bridge surface design, visitors can enjoy romantic constellation light sculptures at night! As the first pedestrian and cyclist-friendly scenic water bridge, Chengguang Bridge includes a scenic stream, a splash pad, a light refreshment plaza, plant beautification, five nighttime constellation light sculptures, three accessible elevators, four gently sloped paths, and seven nebula magpie pergolas, allowing the public to enjoy the beautiful day and night views of the New Taipei Metropolitan Park.
