Duck Park Introduction
Duck Park is located at the confluence of the Dahan River and Xindian River, where sediment has accumulated over the years to form sandbanks, creating a habitat for many water birds. To raise awareness of the importance of protecting the natural ecological environment of water birds, this area has been designated as a park for observing water bird ecology, leisure, and activities. Every winter, the Duck Park Landscape Art Festival is held, inspired by ducks, creating a unique space that combines fun, relaxation, and education. Within the park, there are three different types of Q-version duck sculptures, where visitors can learn about natural ecology while enjoying informative displays. Due to the rich aquatic flora and fauna providing a stable food source, this area has also become a major habitat for many migratory birds, particularly during the period from September to April when small water ducks pass through. On weekends, visitors can enjoy walking or biking, and there is a chance to see small water ducks leisurely paddling along the riverbank! Duck Park not only features a large grassy area but also several basketball courts; it is recommended to bring outdoor activities equipment such as frisbees and kites to enjoy a fun-filled day! Additionally, it’s advisable to visit during cooler times as there are limited shaded areas, and to pay attention to sun protection and hydration.
