Duck Park Introduction
Duck Park is located at the confluence of the Dahan River and the Xindian River, where sediment has accumulated over the years to form sandbanks that serve as a habitat for many water birds. To raise awareness for the protection of the natural ecological environment of water birds, this area has been planned as a park for observing water bird ecology, relaxing, and recreational activities. Every winter, the Duck Park Landscape Art Festival is held, using ducks as the creative inspiration to create a unique space that combines fun, leisure, and educational elements. The park features three different types of cartoonish duck statues, allowing visitors to read informative signs while increasing their knowledge of natural ecology. With a rich variety of aquatic plants and animals providing a stable food source, this area has also become a main habitat for many migratory birds, especially between September and April when small ducks are passing through. On weekends, visitors can enjoy walking or biking, and there’s a chance to see small ducks leisurely paddling along the water's edge! Duck Park not only has a large lawn but also several basketball courts, so it's recommended to bring outdoor activity equipment like frisbees or kites for a fun-filled day. Additionally, please note that there are limited shaded areas, so it's advisable to avoid visiting during peak sun hours and to stay hydrated and protected from the sun.
