Railway Landscape Park Introduction
The Railway Landscape Park is located next to the Shanjia Station. Along Shanjia Street, you will discover many trendy 3D murals on the walls, featuring realistic and fun designs such as a great white shark, kangaroo, dinosaur, and Formosan black bear. In June 2017, a black coal hopper car of the 35H1304 model, which has a history of 47 years, and a DL1044 model shunting locomotive were installed in the Shanjia Railway Landscape Park. This project is part of the restoration of the Shanjia Station by Taiwan Railways, promoting the preservation of the designated historic site of Shanjia Station in New Taipei City and improving the surrounding environment. The project will focus on the century-old Shanjia Train Station, integrating railway imagery with the latest 3D murals to create a railway landscape park that connects the station square, Shanjia Street, and the railway land space left after tunnel renovations, thereby linking nearby recreational spots and boosting local tourism.
