Railway Landscape Park Introduction
The Railway Landscape Park is located next to the Shanjia Station. Along the Shanjia Street, you will find many trendy 3D murals on the walls, featuring fun and realistic images such as great white sharks, kangaroos, dinosaurs, and Formosan black bears. In June 2017, a black coal hopper car of type 35H1304, which has a history of 47 years, and a DL1044 type locomotive were established at the Shanjia Railway Landscape Park. To integrate with the Taiwan Railways' restoration project of Shanjia Station, New Taipei City is promoting the restoration of the historic Shanjia Station and improvements to the surrounding environment. The park will be centered around the century-old Shanjia Station, combining railway imagery with the latest popular 3D murals. It aims to create a Railway Landscape Park by integrating the plaza in front of the station, Shanjia Street, and the railway land left after the tunnel was straightened, linking the surrounding recreational spots to boost local tourism.
