Railway Landscape Park Introduction
The Railway Landscape Park is located next to the Shanjia Station, where you can find many of the latest popular 3D murals along Shanjia Street on the walls, featuring fun and realistic images such as great white sharks, kangaroos, dinosaurs, and Formosan black bears. In June 2017, a black coal hopper car (Model 35H1304) with a history of 47 years and a DL1044 type shunter were installed at Shanjia Railway Landscape Park. In conjunction with the restoration project of Shanjia Station, a designated historical site in New Taipei City, efforts are being made to restore both the station and its surrounding environment, centering on the century-old Shanjia Railway Station. The park will integrate railway themes with the latest 3D murals, unifying the plaza in front of the station, Shanjia Street, and the railway space left after the tunnel cut-through to create the Railway Landscape Park, linking surrounding recreational attractions to boost local tourism.
