Railway Landscape Park Introduction
The Railway Landscape Park is located next to the Shanjia Station. Along Shanjia Street, you will find many trendy 3D murals on the walls, featuring fun and realistic designs such as great white sharks, kangaroos, dinosaurs, and the Formosan black bear. In June 2017, a black coal hopper car model 35H1304 with 47 years of history and a DL1044 shunting locomotive was installed in the Shanjia Railway Landscape Park. To complement the restoration of the Shanjia Station by Taiwan Railways, efforts are being made to improve the surroundings and restore the Shanjia Station, a designated historical site in New Taipei City. The project will focus on the century-old Shanjia Railway Station, integrating railway themes with contemporary 3D murals, and utilizing the space left from the tunnel realignment to create a railway landscape park. This initiative will link nearby recreational attractions and promote local tourism.
