Railway Landscape Park Introduction
The Railway Landscape Park is located next to the Shanjia Station. Along Shanjia Street, you will find many trendy 3D murals on the walls, featuring fun and realistic designs such as great white sharks, kangaroos, dinosaurs, and Formosan black bears. In June 2017, a 35H1304 type black coal hopper car with a 47-year history and a DL1044 type shunting locomotive were set up at the Shanjia Railway Landscape Park. This initiative aims to combine the restoration of the Shanjia Station by Taiwan Railway and the improvement of the surrounding environment, centering around the century-old Shanjia Train Station. It integrates railway imagery with contemporary 3D murals, creating the Railway Landscape Park that connects the square in front of the station, Shanjia Street, and the space left by the realignment of the tunnel, ultimately linking nearby recreational attractions to promote local tourism.
