Dakeng Scenic Bridge Introduction
In the Beitun District of Taichung, there are various cultural landscape bridges with different themes, including the New Peach Blossom Source Bridge, Romantic Lover's Bridge, Dakeng Refreshing Bridge, Blue Sky and White Cloud Bridge, and Haotian Bridge. These bridges connect Road No. 4, leading to Beitun District, Dakeng District, and Taiping District, making transportation and daily life more convenient for residents. The uniquely designed landscape bridges exude their charm both day and night, making them popular spots for photography and leisure. Additionally, the area is spacious with limited vehicle traffic, making it suitable for cycling at night, allowing visitors to enjoy the serene riverside scenery while admiring the increasingly beautiful bridges. The New Peach Blossom Source Bridge is the earliest and largest among the Dakeng landscape bridge cluster. Its appearance resembles a white culvert, with pedestrian walkways on both sides for leisurely strolls and scenic views. Notably, the maple leaf decorations on the walkway are characteristic of the Dakeng area. The Romantic Lover's Bridge, which resembles a harp from the side, is constructed with slanted arches of steel pipes and features a pink exterior, with the ground designed with glass, making it a pedestrian-exclusive overpass. The classical and elegant Blue Sky and White Cloud Bridge uses blue and white colors in its design, styled in a temple architecture form that echoes the blue sky and white clouds above. At night, the bridge lights up, casting a charming glow against the dark starlit sky, resembling an entrance to a fantastical paradise, making it highly captivating. The Dakeng Refreshing Bridge, designed in a rib-like shape resembling a fountain, represents the lush landscapes of the Dakeng area. Due to the bridge's special curved and symmetrical design, it resembles a butterfly in flight, which is why it is also referred to as the "Butterfly Bridge." In the dazzling night lights, the entire bridge resembles a spectacular light and water show, with green curved steel beams appearing like jetting water columns, complemented by bright blue light points at the ends of the beams, showcasing vibrant energy and beauty, attracting many photography enthusiasts to capture the moments. The cluster of landscape bridges is close to the Xindu Ecological Park and Dakeng Scenic Area, where visitors can plan to explore these locations in the morning and then return to the landscape bridges in the evening to enjoy the breeze and admire the starry night, spending a romantic and wonderful day. The Haotian Bridge is a beautiful white mountain-shaped bridge that extends from Songzhuzhuwu Road, spanning across East and West Hanjie Road; its name implies "the line between sea and sky, connecting hearts and hands."
