Gangshan Eye (Closed for Maintenance) Introduction
The Eye of Gangshan park, located at Xiaogang Mountain at the intersection of Gangshan District and Yanchao District, covers an area of approximately 1.8 hectares. The Qing Dynasty poet Zhuo Mengcai described the local scenery as "Gangshan Tree Color", depicting the layers of lush greenery and the vast views from the Eye of Gangshan, where poetic beauty and timeless charm are revived. Skywalk: Strolling in the clouds, the Skywalk is the main feature of the Eye of Gangshan park, stretching 88 meters long. Designed with a musical concept, it resembles a steel cable-stayed bridge, with the main tower taking the form of a violin, and its cables symbolizing the strings of the instrument, implying harmony. At the end, a spiral staircase echoes the harmonica, with steps plated like piano keys that resonate with sound. Walking along the Skywalk with a gentle breeze feels like playing nature's symphony, offering a visual and auditory feast of cloud walking, symbolizing the rebirth of life at Xiaogang Mountain. Resting and sightseeing: Overlooking Greater Kaohsiung, the planning of this park respects the environment and ecological conservation. The Skywalk provides a vantage point to view the beauty of Agongdian Reservoir, Agongdian Forest Park, the Agongdian River, and its surrounding plains. On clear days, one can see the majestic Beidawu Mountain and the surrounding mountains. The landmarks of Kaohsiung, including the 85 Building, Banping Mountain, Shoushan, and the Taiwan Strait, can also be seen, presenting a magnificent landscape.
