Gangshan Eye (Closed for Maintenance) Introduction
The "Gongshan Eye" Park is located at the border of Gangshan District and Yanchao District, covering an area of about 1.8 hectares on the verdant Xiaogang Mountain. The Qing Dynasty poet Zhuo Mengcai described the local scenery as "Gongshan tree colors" in his poem, portraying the lush and layered greenery. Standing at Gongshan Eye, visitors can enjoy a vast and poetic view, reminiscent of timeless feelings. The Sky Corridor, the main feature of the Gongshan Eye Park, is a stunning 88-meter-long walkway designed around the concept of music. It is structured as a steel cable-stayed bridge, with the main tower shaped like a violin, while the cables represent the strings of the instrument, symbolizing harmony and resonance. The spiral staircase at the end of the corridor resembles a harmonica, and the steps evoke sounds like piano keys. As visitors stroll along the Sky Corridor, the gentle breeze plays a natural symphony, offering a feast for the eyes and ears while symbolizing the rebirth of life on Xiaogang Mountain. In terms of recreation and sightseeing, the park is planned with respect to the environment and ecological conservation. The Sky Corridor offers stunning views of the A-Gong-Dian Reservoir, A-Gong-Dian Forest Park, and the plains of A-Gong-Dian Creek. On clear days, one can gaze at the majestic Beidawu Mountain and surrounding ranges, as well as view Kaohsiung landmarks such as the 85 Building, Banping Mountain, Shoushan, and the Taiwan Strait.
