Gangshan Eye (Closed for Maintenance) Introduction

The "Eye of Gangshan" Park, located at Xiaogang Mountain on the border of Gangshan District and Yanchao District, covers an area of approximately 1.8 hectares. The Qing Dynasty poet Zhuo Mengcai described the local lush greenery in his poem "Gangshan Tree Color," reflecting the beauty of the area’s layered greens and smoky hues. From the viewpoint of the park, the scenery is expansive, bringing poetic sentiments and timeless charm to life. The Sky Walk, the main feature of the Eye of Gangshan Park, stretches 88 meters long and is designed with music as its conceptual theme. Built in the form of a steel cable-stayed bridge, the main tower is modeled after a violin, with the steel cables symbolizing strings, emphasizing harmony. At the end of the path, a spiral staircase resembling a harmonica echoes the music, with steps that sound like piano keys when walked upon. As visitors stroll along the Sky Walk, the gentle breeze creates a harmonious natural melody, inviting them to indulge in a feast for the eyes and ears while symbolizing the rebirth of life at Xiaogang Mountain. The park is designed with respect for the environment and ecological conservation. From the Sky Walk, visitors can gaze upon the beauty of the Agongdian Reservoir, Agongdian Forest Park, Agongdian Creek, and its surrounding plains. On clear days, the stunning peaks of North Dawu Mountain and nearby mountains are visible, along with the iconic 85 Sky Tower, Banping Mountain, Shoushan, and the Taiwan Strait, all within view.
