Gangshan Eye (Closed for Maintenance) Introduction
Gangang Mountain Eye Park, located at the border between the Gangshan District and the Yanchao District, spans approximately 1.8 hectares. The Qing Dynasty poet Zhuang Mengcai described the local greenery in his poem “Gangshan Tree Color,” highlighting the area’s lush, layered greens that create a beautiful vista from the park. The park offers a magnificent view with poetic charm and timeless grace. The Sky Corridor, designed as the main feature of Gangang Mountain Eye Park, is 88 meters long and incorporates music into its design concept. It is built as a steel cable-stayed bridge, with the main tower resembling a violin, and the cables representing the strings, symbolizing harmonious music. The spiral staircase at the end mimics a harmonica, with the steps echoing the sound of piano keys. Walking along the Sky Corridor, visitors can feel the gentle breeze, as if nature is playing its music, offering a feast for both the eyes and ears, and symbolizing a new life chapter for Gangang Mountain. The area is designed with a focus on environmental respect and ecological conservation. From the Sky Corridor, visitors can overlook the beautiful scenery of the Agongdian Reservoir, Agongdian Forest Park, and Agongdian Creek along with its plains. On clear days, one can enjoy the magnificent Northern Da Wu Mountain and surrounding peaks, as well as landmarks of Kaohsiung City like the 85 Sky Tower, Banping Mountain, Shoushan, and the Taiwan Strait.
