Zhibin Doubanjiang Story House Introduction
The Doubanjiang Story Museum, located at the foot of Xiaogang Mountain, is situated along the main route to the Gangshan Eye on National Highway No. 1 (Zhongshan Expressway), specifically on Dazhuang Road in Gangshan District. Doubanjiang is one of the "Three Treasures of Gangshan" in Kaohsiung, and Zhibin Doubanjiang is one of the three well-known brands of Gangshan Doubanjiang praised online. The newly established "Zhibin Doubanjiang Story Museum" was converted from the idle space of the former Kaohsiung City Gangshan District Agricultural Association warehouse. In addition to a display area selling various types of Doubanjiang produced by Zhibin, it also collaborates with local farmers from Gangshan to sell a variety of specialty agricultural products. The large park is most striking with its groups of "big sauce jars," and reservations can be made for sauce stirring experiences. The open park includes an event stage and indoor space that can host DIY tasting events for Doubanjiang condiments and various family-friendly activities. The overall mural design inside the museum is a result of a collaboration with the Department of Applied Design at Shu-Te University, connecting local cultural elements. This not only adds a storytelling aspect and humor but also provides great photo opportunities, resulting in many unexpected magical effects.
