Zhibin Doubanjiang Story Museum Introduction
Located at the foothills of Xiaogang Mountain, the Doubanjiang Story Museum is situated along Dazhuang Road in the Gangshan District, which is the main route to the Gangshan Eye when entering National Highway No. 1. Doubanjiang (fermented bean paste) is one of the "Three Treasures of Gangshan" in Kaohsiung, and Zhihpin Doubanjiang is one of the three well-known brands of Gangshan Doubanjiang, renowned on the internet. The newly established "Zhihpin Doubanjiang Story Museum" has been transformed from a former warehouse of the Kaohsiung City Gangshan Farmers' Association. In addition to a display area selling a variety of Doubanjiang produced by Zhihpin, the museum collaborates with local farmers in Gangshan to sell various specialty agricultural products. The expansive grounds are dominated by large "fermentation tanks," and visitors can make reservations for a hands-on Doubanjiang mixing experience. The open park features a stage and indoor space suitable for DIY tasting events with Doubanjiang condiments and various family-friendly activities. The overall mural design of the museum is a collaborative project with the Department of Applied Design of Shu-Te University, incorporating local cultural elements, making it not only full of stories and fun but also providing great photo opportunities that create many unexpected magical effects.
