Maolin Valley Introduction
Maolin Valley is located at the confluence of Zhuokou Creek and its tributary, Musheng Creek, on the eastern side of Maolin Village. Originally named "Lomus," which means "beautiful valley" in the Rukai language, the beautiful deep pool in the wide valley of Zhuokou Creek by the northeast side of the Lomus Suspension Bridge showcases a deep blue color. This is the Zhuokou Creek, where the rock walls create meanders, joining with Musheng Creek to form the Blue Water Pool. The Maolin Waterfall cascades magnificently, but the bottom of the Blue Water Pool has whirlpools, and locals jokingly refer to it as the "Girl's Trap," making it unsafe for swimming. Visitors can enjoy the majestic natural scenery from an elegant pavilion situated in front of the waterfall.
