The People Stop Barrier is a narrow gorge located upstream of the Beixi River, between the Daguang Bridge and the Ren'ai Bridge along the Puwu Highway. In a short distance of a few hundred meters, steep cliffs rise up on both sides. It is said that this barrier was established near the Beixi River by officials to prevent disputes between indigenous people and plain residents from escalating.
