Renzhi Pass is a narrow gorge located upstream of the Mei River, between the Daguan Bridge and the Ren'ai Bridge on the Puwu Highway. Within just a few hundred meters, steep cliffs rise on both sides. It is said that the pass was established near the Mei River to prevent the escalation of disputes between the indigenous people and the residents of the plains.
