Qu Bing Archaeological Site Introduction

The Qu Bing Site is located in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, upstream of the Zhuoshui River, at an elevation of approximately 700 to 900 meters, covering an area of over 9,000 square meters. Due to the indigenous people's shifting cultivation lifestyle, it is determined to be a settlement site left by the Bunun people who migrated after the land became barren about a thousand years ago, classified as a ranked historic site. Archaeologists have discovered prehistoric stone tools and pottery fragments of archaeological value in the Qu Bing village, as well as the most well-preserved slate relics. Based on the unearthed stone artifacts, the culture of the "Qu Bing Site" is dated to around 1500 to 2000 years ago, belonging to the Iron Age cultural stage.
