Qu Bing Ruins Introduction

The Qu Bing Site is located in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, upstream of the Zhuoshui River, at an altitude of approximately 700 to 900 meters. It covers an area of more than 9,000 square meters. Due to the migratory farming practices of the indigenous peoples, it is believed to be a settlement site left by the Bunan people after they relocated due to land scarcity over a thousand years ago. It is designated as a Class III historic site. Archaeologists have discovered prehistoric stone tools and pottery shards of archaeological value at the Qu Bing tribe, as well as the best-preserved slate site. Based on the unearthed stone implements, the culture of the Qu Bing Site dates back approximately 1500 to 2000 years, belonging to the Iron Age cultural phase.
