Sleeping Forest Theme Park Introduction
The small park in front of Beimen Station and next to Yushan Hostel has existed since the Japanese occupation. Illustrator SMART Chuang Hsin-tang designed a series of Q-version animals themed "Sleeping Forest," including a white bear, pink elephant, fox, owl, penguin, and squirrel. Combined with the existing green trees, air raid shelters, and street lamps, visitors can feel the vibrant yet tranquil atmosphere of the forest while strolling through. The entrance features a cherry blossom iron arch that reflects Beimen Station as the gateway to Alishan; there are birdcage and owl-shaped street lamp decorations adorned with stars, moons, and suns; and a 50-year-old wax apple tree along with nostalgic air raid shelters that hang colorful lights, creating mesmerizing light illusions in the enchanting night.
