Sleeping Forest Theme Park Introduction
The small park in front of Beimen Station and next to Yushan Hostel has been around since the Japanese colonial period. Illustrator SMART Zhuang Xintang designed a series of Q-version animal shapes with the theme "Sleeping Forest," including a polar bear, a pink elephant, a fox, an owl, a penguin, and a squirrel, blending with the existing green trees, air raid shelters, and street lamps. Walking through this space, one can feel the vibrant yet tranquil atmosphere of the forest. The cherry blossom wrought iron archway at the entrance echoes the imagery of Beimen Station as the gateway to Alishan; the birdcage and owl-shaped street lamp feature stars, the moon, and the sun. The 50-year-old wax apple tree and the nostalgic air raid shelter are adorned with colorful lights, creating a stunning and charming night scene with light and shadow.
