Sleeping Forest Theme Park Introduction
The small park in front of Beimen Station and next to Yushan Hotel has existed since the Japanese colonial period. Illustrator SMART Chuang Hsin-Tang designed a series of Q-version animal shapes themed "Sleeping Forest," featuring a polar bear, pink elephant, fox, owl, penguin, and squirrel, blending with the existing green trees, air raid shelters, and streetlights. Walking through, one can feel the vibrant yet tranquil atmosphere of the forest. The entrance's cherry blossom iron archway echoes the image of Beimen Station as the gateway to Alishan; birdcage and owl-shaped decorative streetlights feature stars, moons, and suns. A 50-year-old wax apple tree and nostalgically designed air raid shelters hang colorful lights, creating a dazzling and enchanting night scene.
