Shuangxi Riverside Bike Path Introduction
The Shuangxi River, originating from Yangmingshan National Park, flows past Soochow University and then shifts to the north side of the highway, where the riverside green park extends. The riverside bike path is constructed along both sides, becoming a well-maintained and compact route within Taipei's river cycling network that is closest to residential areas. The picturesque banks of the Shuangxi River provide a green tunnel for busy urban dwellers seeking to relieve their tired bodies and minds. The bike path on the left bank connects to the right bank bike path at the Bailing Bridge, while the riverside park on the right bank is a gathering place for rugby enthusiasts and often sees football teams competing against each other. Cyclists can also join in on this vast grassy area, riding all the way to beneath the Chengde Bridge, with a stop at Taipei's last sampan dock, "San Jiaodu."
