Taipei Exploratorium Introduction
As a Taipei resident, do you know about Taipei? Welcome to the Taipei Exploration Center, where you can learn about everything related to Taipei. The Taipei Exploration Center has four floors: the first floor is the Taipei Impression Hall, which presents Taipei's image through images and videos; the second floor is the Special Exhibition Hall, which regularly hosts relevant exhibitions; the third floor is the City Exploration Hall, where you can see the history of Taipei streets such as Ketagalan Boulevard, Zhongshan North Road, Dunhua South and North Roads, and Zhongxiao East Road, as well as the changes in Ximending and Xinyi District; the fourth floor is the Time and Space Dialogue Hall, featuring interactive installations, replicas of ancient city walls, images, artifacts, and models that help you understand the history of Wanhua, Dadaocheng, Taipei City, and the Tamsui River—this is definitely the right place to learn. The Taipei Impression Hall on the first floor features a minimalist style that evokes the cultural vibe of Greater Taipei. The main wall projects multi-layered media images and floor projections that showcase the smiles and expressions of Taipei. The second floor's Special Exhibition Hall, though small, is "small but complete," regularly hosting special exhibitions in line with issues of concern to the city's government or citizens. The third floor's City Exploration Hall is a place that ignites imagination, tracing the development trajectory of Taipei through the changes in its streets. The fourth floor's Time and Space Dialogue Hall represents urban development and historical evolution, akin to taking a time machine back to past Taipei, experiencing the contrast between the old and new, along with the shifts in time and space. The Discovery Theater's 360-degree large screen shows four films titled "City Heritage," "City Life," "City Style," and "Good Times in Taipei," presenting various stories and reflections about Taipei City, making it suitable for people of all ages to explore. Visitors can also view the virtual reality of the exhibition online before visiting the Taipei Exploration Center!
