Shengchang Traditional Chinese Medicine Exploration Museum Introduction
Sheng Chang Pharmaceutical Factory was founded in 1946. In its early days, it produced medicinal powders and pills, and later began to focus on the production of modern concentrated Chinese herbal medicines, becoming a pioneer in the development of concentrated Chinese medicine (scientific Chinese medicine) in Taiwan. In 1966, it started full-scale production of high-quality concentrated Chinese medicine at its Zhonghe plant. In 1976, it was the first to introduce the concept of GMP, and in 1986, it became the first Chinese medicine manufacturer in the country to pass the GMP software evaluation after an inspection by the Department of Health. In 2000, it invested 3 billion NTD to establish a Chinese herbal medicine research and education park in Zhongli. With a scientific spirit, advanced equipment, and rigorous quality control standards, the company continuously innovates, and its various product forms have gained recognition in the medical community and are marketed worldwide. In 2018, it passed the strict PIC/S GMP factory inspection certification by the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). In 2020, to help more people understand traditional Chinese medicine, Sheng Chang established the Sheng Chang Chinese Herbal Medicine Exploration Museum to pass on knowledge of herbal culture to the public.
